I had a technical problem with my credit card and as I was reloading it they dragged my food away from me as I was some kind of cheap bandit.. Read moreThis Arabic Cafe is located across the street from Shuk Hakarmel. I ordered a Turkush coffee and a bachlawa dessert-pastry. Both were very disappointing. The Turkish coffee was just ground coffee to which the added hot water and not coffee boiled in a finjan. The bachlawa was obviously not fresh. It was somewhat dry, tasted stale and not even as sweet as one would expect bachlawa to be. We had baklava with pistaccios and it was the absolute worst baklava we have ever had. No buttery taste, weird tasting sugar syrup and even the green little things inside that are supposed to be pistaccios tasted like something else entirely. On top of that we paid 32 shekels for 4 baklavas which felt like a complete rip off. The staff apparently just adjusts the price according to whether you are a local or tourist. You can get way better sweets in Tel Aviv...
