Our meal at Cafe Yom Tov was a vibrant and fresh experience, perfectly suited for a relaxed brunch. The café’s decor was welcoming and casual, with a comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to linger and savor each bite.
We ordered a variety of dishes: Eggplant Tahini Bowl - This dish was a standout, combining creamy tahini with roasted eggplant, fresh herbs, radishes, and a sprinkle of spices. The balance between the earthy eggplant and the richness of the tahini was delightful, making every spoonful feel hearty and wholesome. Served with flatbread, it was a comforting and filling dish. Salad with Fresh Bread - A fresh, crisp salad of mixed greens, radishes, red onions, and tomatoes paired with a slice of hearty, seeded bread. The salad had a light dressing that complemented the ingredients without overwhelming them. It was a perfect accompaniment, offering a refreshing contrast to the creamier elements of our meal. Side Salad - This smaller salad of cucumbers, radishes, and tomatoes was simple yet flavorful. It added a nice touch of crunch and freshness to the meal, rounding out the flavors nicely.
Overall, Cafe Yom Tov impressed us with its focus on fresh ingredients and balanced flavors. The dishes were thoughtfully composed, emphasizing natural tastes and textures. It’s a wonderful spot for anyone looking to enjoy a light, flavorful meal in a cozy, laid-back environment. We’d definitely recommend it for a relaxed brunch or lunch...
Read moreCafe Yom Tov is the place i bring anyone who is visiting Tel Aviv from Israel or abroad. From the sprawling patio/roadside seating and loungey indoor atmosphere to the wonderful staff and the amazing location and decor, Cafe Yom Tov is reflective of the soul of Tel Aviv. Most notably, the food. Cooked inventivley but not pretentiously, the fresh vegetable dishes were perfect. Homestyle flavors with a memorable flair, the mains were like the streets of Tel Aviv herself. The sweet potato miso glaze and baked cabbage were our favorites. Dessert was just as remarkable, we would reccomend the white chocolate souffle or the brownie. A wonderful place to socialize, the place is packed on the weekends, weeknights are much quieter. This restaurant is a gem, and I will certainly come back to...
Read moreWas really looking forward to trying out this place due to the previous recommendations but our first impression was met with rudeness.
The waitress on duty (short with long curly hair) didn’t welcome us but simply shook her head and kept on walking by... would not be having someone like that working the floor in any establishment (sounds like she’ll be successful in life...).
So instead my friends and I walked across to Daytime kitchen, and the service was excellent!
I might give Yom Tov another crack next time i’m in town, but for now they’ve just lost our custom and gained a few one...
