Cremerie De L'eclair — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

I really wanted to like this one, their ice creams look good. And some of the flavours are rather original (like the Crème Brulé and the oranges Creamshnit).

However, originality does not guarantee good taste and quality. But at this they are only average. Which should have earned them a 3 stars. Then, what got them knocked down? Why would I not recommend them?

Because, with every business you make a transaction money in exchange for produce...and you expect the price to be fair and receive what you paid for.

Well the price for 1 kg of ice cream is really not reasonable. But makes it even more painful is the fact that what you get is 750g instead. So you are being overpriced without recieving good quality or good quantity for your money, actually, you receive less quantity than what you paid for.

Now, is this somewhere you'll wanna go? Is that how you want to spend your money? Or....more...

One of the rarest situations when I feel a need to place a feedback. I wish I have read feedbacks before purchasing there. Hugely overpriced goods, for a good which is not fresh(I mean, 2pm and croissant wax baked at least yesterday). Not tasty, frustrating. I bought every single pastry there(7types) and payed 158(!) Nis with a small coffee. (Expected to pay around 90-100nis max).Everything WAS NOT tasty. Everything WAS NOT fresh. When I asked, surprised with the bill, what are the prices for the pastries, the girl looked straight in my eyes saying: everything is different (not giving prices, meaning take it or leave it). I never write reviews but my experience at this place was pretty bad so I figured it's worth giving other's a heads up. I heard great things so we gave it a try last week. Ordered one of the ready-made ice-cream sandwiches. Just to give you an idea of how disappointing it was- I threw almost all of it out, it was that bad. The ice cream tasted like it was pareve (it wasn't), with a frostbitten texture. The cookies were stale and pretty much inedible. In short, despite the inviting exterior, this place isn't worth the hype. They obviously don't refresh their stock daily and the ingredients...
