The worst service I have ever experienced! We were 15 people, and from the start the attitude of the waiters was as if we were disturbing them. Already on the phone, we were told that the table would be available to us only for two hours. There were not many people in the restaurant, but it took them a long time to approach us and then urged us to order with a sour face and a lack of courtesy. When we asked them to bring a jar of water first, the waiter angrily said that "water is not food", brought the water and disappeared for another ten minutes. When the other waitress finally came to us and began to take orders, also with disrespect and sour face, I asked her if there is any problem she said we had only an hour left and why we were ordering only now! I don't have anything to say about the food itself, we did not stay to taste it, we just got up and went to the nearby restaurant "Prozdor", where we were greeted by smiling, courteous and efficient waiters who dissipated the unpleasant feelings. My family and I will never go back to Ernesto and I will not recommend anyone to go there. On the other hand, I will warmly recommend the restaurant "Prozdor" for the friendly, efficient and courteous attitude.
השירות הגרוע ביותר שנתקלתי בו אי פעם! היינו 15 אנשים, ומלכתחילה היחס של המלצרים היה כאילו אנחנו מטרידים אותם. כבר בהזמנה בטלפון נאמר לנו כי השולחן יהיה לרשותנו רק לשעתיים. לא היו הרבה אנשים במסעדה, אבל לקח להם הרבה מאוד זמן לגשת אלינו ואז האיצו בנו להזמין בפנים חמוצות ובחוסר אדיבות. כאשר ביקשנו שיביאו קודם כל קנקן מים, המלצר אמר בכעס שמים זה לא אוכל, הביא את המים ונעלם לעשר דקות נוספות. כשהמלצרית השניה נגשה אלינו סוף סוף והתחילה לקחת הזמנות, גם היא בחוסר אדיבות ובפנים חמוצות, שאלתי אותה מה הבעייה והיא אמרה שנותרה לנו רק שעה ומדוע אנחנו מזמינים רק עכשיו! אין לי מה לומר על האוכל עצמו, לא נשארנו לטעום ממנו, פשוט קמנו והלכנו למסעדת "פרוזדור" הסמוכה, שם קבלו אותנו מלצרים חייכנים, אדיבים ויעילים כל כך שהפיגו לנו את עגמת הנפש. אני ובני משפחתי לא נחזור לארנסטו ואני לא אמליץ לאף אחד להגיע לשם. לעומת זאת אמליץ בחום על מסעדת "פרוזדור" ולו רק בגלל היחס...

We entered the restaurant, no welcome or smiles greeted us, but indifferent attitudes. The restaurant was quite crowded but the waitresses, seemed to manage. Still, they looked stressed and annoyed. At least this changed a bit for the better temporary, when one of them came to our table and apologised for the long waiting for ordering.
To be fair,I gave the restaurant 3 stars,based only on the dishes we ordered.They were fine. The lunch deal is economic, good brochetta with quality olive oil, the pasta cooked al dente and tasty primavera.
The spaghetti carbonara was a bit to salty and had smoked goose instead of the traditional bacon, but the dish was good.
We decided to split a desert and tiramisu sounded good,the menu read it was supposed to have marsala in it.Unfortunatly it was not a good choice,neither masala or any alcoholic taste or espresso, just a heavy desert which lacked aroma and taste. The bill that came in the end was 10 shekel overcharged for the desert but it was corrected immediatly, when we pointed out to the fault. In the end I praised the good pasta but also pointed out our disappointment of the desert and that it was rich but totally lacked the typical alcoholic aroma. The men (italian family member / owner), shook his head vehemently.While smiling to himself he insisted that they never get any complaints about it. Mentioning that we know the dish and have eaten tirami su a couple of times in italy, he pointed out : "We ARE frome rome"
As a restaurant guest I prefere chefs and owners that are listening to custumor constructive critics.Furthermore I'd like to be welcomed and not get the feeling"another customer pays the bill". Read moreThe appetizers came at a reasonable time and were ok. The fried zucchini flowers could have been fried at a higher temp and been less soaked by oil, the stuffed crepe was fine. What happened next will forever enter as one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. After waiting 45 minutes for the mains, we asked the waitress for the bill, we explained why. She then went to the manager who in turn, went to yell at the kitchen staff who yelled at him in return, worked up something and gave him a plate (I was able to witness all this as our table had a clear view of the kitchen.). The manager came over to our table and placed a plate of gnocchi in front of me. A half minute later my girlfriends spaghetti putanessca arrived. As we tried to explain that we have already ordered the bill and that serving us is not necessary anymore, he first insulted us in saying "you came to an Italian restaurant, you clearly don't know what that means since you have never been there" after my girlfriend told him that she has been to Italy many times and has never waited this long to be served, he started saying that we haven't been waiting long and that we have only been waiting for 10 minutes max. Since my girlfriend was starved I didn't continue protesting, we reluctantly ate our dishes, my girlfriends spaghetti putanessca looked and tasted like it was made by and for a five year old. The pasta which was not fresh but bought, was uncooked and the sauce lacked any resemblance of flavour, my gnocchi felt store bought as well. When we were done, we immediately asked for the bill. For the "pleasure" of an "authentic" Italian restaurant we were charged 312 NIS. I will certainly never return there and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Maybe...
