I celebrated my birthday here, and unfortunately the evening was completely ruined. In the reservation notes I mentioned it was my birthday, but no one paid any attention to that. Instead of a warm welcome, I received an SMS reminding me that the table was reserved for only two hours and asking us not to be late.
When we arrived, the hostess, in quite a rude tone, repeated again that the table was only for two hours. She emphasized it twice, which immediately set an unpleasant mood.
Then it only got worse: the dishes were served in the wrong order, one was completely forgotten, the table was never cleared, and the waiter barely came to check on us. Ten minutes before the end of the reservation, while we were still eating dessert, we were once again told—without a smile—that our time was almost up and we had to pay. When I pointed out that it was impolite to ruin the evening like that, especially on a birthday, she called the manager. The manager apologized and offered us a complimentary chaser, but we never received it.
Honestly, it was very disappointing. Instead of a celebration, I was left with frustration. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you don’t want to ruin...

Rating: ★★★★★ (I wish I could rate it 6/5!)
Fifty and One, located on Nahalat Binyamin St near Rothschild Blvd, has become my top choice for Italian food in Tel Aviv. The restaurant is in a great spot, especially in the evenings when the street becomes calm and spacious without car traffic.
They've set up the tables nicely for couples on the street and groups on the sidewalk. There's also a cozy bar if you prefer.
Their wine selection is good, and I might've had one glass too many!
Now, let's talk about the food - it was amazing! We tried five different pasta dishes, and they were all outstanding. I couldn't even take pictures because we ate them so quickly!
My favorite dishes were the Cacio e pepe, Tortellini in spiced butter, New Zealand ravioli, and Sashimi Red Tuna. The flavors were incredible.
The prices are quite reasonable. You can enjoy a pasta course for around 70 Shekel.
The staff was very nice and welcoming, which added to the experience.
Just one thing, remember to book ahead, as it's a popular spot. We had to reserve more than a week in advance for a Wednesday night.
Try it out and you...
Read moreFood was very good, service was terrible. First thing when we arrived to the place, the hostess was letting us that know we have the table for 2 hours, ok. Then when we were seated at the table she mentioned it again in a rude tone. During our meal the waiter didn’t pay much attention to clear finished plates, to fill up water, the food came in the wrong order (we had main dishes before appetizers) and when we wanted to order dessert we couldn’t reach the waiter’s attention. When we did order dessert, he didn’t bother to clean our table before serving it. Just when we were about to ask for the check the hostess came over again to our table and told us that we have 10 minutes left to leave the table in an extremely rude attitude, which led us to speaking about the whole experience to the manager. Overall the service was unprofessional, not what you’d expect from a place with a high price range in the heart of Tel Aviv, we left very disappointed and we would not...
