*mid-January 2023 update - what a downfall this place has gone through. I got a margarita from tap, in a lowball glass, that contained maybe 12 cubes of ice, 100ml drink. I used to have such long nights at the bar, drinking all of the cocktails at one sitting with friends, even some off-menu specials. We used to never want to leave. It's been a downfall for this place for the past year - mostly because of the service and the quality of the drinks, and the very low vfm on food. Used to be packed with people, now mostly empty and very sad. We had to give it one last chance, we used to come here every week at the past! Never again. Love this place. The bartenders are super nice, always smiling, and very helpful with cocktails and food questions. The cocktails are AMAZING and keep us coming back again and again. The food is pricey, but the alcohol is 50% off at happy hour, so it cuts off nicely. The atmosphere is kinda european (though the place called Bushwick), very cozy yet upsacle.

Randomly discovered this place while exploring TLV and the name is what grabbed my attention. I sat at the bar and was greeted by a wonderfully friendly bartender who early introduced herself and asked me what I'd like to drink. I insisted that she make me her favorite cocktail since I wanted to drink her best work l. She didn't disappoint. I don't recall the name of the drink but it was a Tabasco, mezcal, whiskey, dried blood orange drink that was awesome. I got a bit hungry so I ordered the sashimi dish was excellent! Such a simple-looking dish but packed a bunch of fantastic flavors. It was very delicious and coincidentally paired very well with my drink. The atmosphere was chill and they were def going for a Brooklyn NYC decor but not sure they quite pull it off. In any case food, drink and atmosphere were great I highly suggest and recommend you visit them.

The entire experience was disappointing. Our server didn't know the items on the menu and wasn't helpful. The music was too loud and made it impossible to talk to half the table while giving you a headache. The food and cocktails were averege at best, too expensive, and had countless mistakes and discrepancies between the menu and the dish we received. (More details to follow...)

The food was expensive and advertised on the menu in an exaggerated and false fashion. Most dishes also came with mistakes. We ordered two servings of sashimi but recieved two completely different types of fish, cut differently, and seasoned differently. When we asked the waiter, we were told that they "upgraded our dish" but only one and never asked us if that was something we wanted.

Half the cocktails were overloaded and simply an attempt to cram as many expensive ingredients into a single cocktail (and yet still just average). The other half were simple cocktails that were underwhelming and didn't express any of the interesting flavors that were written on the menu.

For anyone who is more knowledgeable in cocktails, many of the cocktails had names that indicate a certain type of drink but had nothing to do with it in practice: A fizz without any kind of soda. A sour without any lemon juice. A Garibaldi without campari. A margarita style drink which only shares one ingredient (tequila) with the original drink (and had 3 extra ingredients)...

The entire experience can be summarized with the "Vienna Schnitzel" we ordered: We recieved our dish half an hour after the first members of our party recieved their food, and the last entrรฉe to come out came half an hour after we finished ours. The menu presented the dish as a veel schnitzel with chipotle beef stock sauce, jalapeรฑos, crรฉme fraรฎche, guacamole, and a fried egg. The dish itself was served in a ridiculous fashion; the schnitzel came soggy, sitting in a puddle of broth and jalapeรฑo slices. The crรฉme fraรฎche smeered on top like a spread, and the egg on top of it all The "guacamole" was just 3 thin slices of avocado and herbs placed around the plate, and the avocado wasn't ripe at all. The entire dish, from its description to the final product, was a series of mistakes and false advertising. The cocktail we got with the dish was supposed to be gin, raspberries, and black cardamom. It tasted like watered down gin and supermarket raspberry syrup, with no cardamom at all.

More examples include: โ€ข A Cubanos sandwich that only came as half a sandwich. โ€ข a piece of pumpkin on pizza with pieces of skin still on it. โ€ข a salsa Verde that tasted like pesto with no chili or tomatillos. โ€ข a chocolate dessert for a child that came with olive oil on top (without being told that it contained olive oil). โ€ข no dessert menu, just vague descriptions...

This is our second time here in Bushwick, and BOY WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. we reserved a table for two, and arrived around 8:30pm. To be honest, the only reason I'm giving it more than ONE STAR is our previous visit which was pretty good. This time the food was NOT GOOD to say the least. I literally returned a burger - HOW DO YOU MESS UP A BURGER!? the crispy tofu dish was basically three large chunks of tofu that were drenched in oil and sugar. The pork belly dish was UNDERCOOKED and not tasty - where did that delicious bacony aroma go? Even our cocktails, which were the reason we got here in the first place, didn't meet our expectations AT ALL. We came here on a Friday night to have a kickass dinner and drink amazing drinks, so it's a shame that this is the experience we had. NO VALUE FOR MONEY in this trendy, overpriced tlv cocktail bar.

BTW, we did tell our waiter about our poor experience, though besides canceling the charge for the burger we returned - nothing else was done to try and make things better. I would at least expect the manager to approach us, but maybe caring about customers is not...
