I recently had the pleasure of enjoying Guetta Tripolitan home cooking during my visit to Israel, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. I was greeted and treated warmly by the owner, Rafi, the executive chef Shiloh, and their exceptional team, who displayed genuine kindness and generosity.

The food at Guetta is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and made with utmost care and expertise. The servings and generous and they have a wide variety of options. What impressed me the most was their willingness to accommodate special requests. They went above and beyond to ensure that our preferences were met, which added a personalized touch to the dining experience.

The authenticity of the cuisine at Guetta took me on a nostalgic journey. The flavors reminded me of the delightful dishes my Libyan neighbor used to prepare for us when I was kid. One particular standout was the authentic hobe-made couscous with vegetable soup and mafrum, which transported me back to those cherished memories. The attention to detail and the use of traditional Tripoli style of cooking, using old recipes that have been passed through generations truly make Guetta a culinary haven.

I can't wait to return to Israel and make Guetta a must-stop on my trip. Guetta is loyal to the family cuisine from Tripoli. The food is unique, with no comparison to the standard Israeli chop house restaurant. The dishes are slow cooked, and very tasty. Even my wife, who favors vegetarian dishes and is EXTREMELY sensitive to sharp or peppery flavors, loved the food. We had the tasting menu for two. I would recommend this, as it exposes you to the range of Tripolitan dishes, with fish, vegetable and meat dishes, all slow cooked. It also included two small bowls of soup, which I loved. Caution: The brown bean soup was very peppery. The bean soup with mangold leaves was not, and I found it even tastier. My wife's favorite dish was the red pepper stuffed with rice, accompanied by a vegetarian potato fritter related to mafrum. For non-vegetarians, that would have been a real mafrum (chopped meat between potato slices). I liked all the dishes, all slow cooked: the fish balls entree, the mafrum with meat, the different types of tabcha. You have to study the menu to understand the terms. I asked for an English menu, but I never got it. The standard side dish is couscous with a vegetable soup on the side, which you add according to taste. We shared the uniquely Libyan desert, Safra Balchimar, a sweet semolina cake with dates. אז אחרי 20 שנה שאני מזמינה קבוע מהמסעדה הזו , ביצעתי הזמנה אתמול לשעה 22:00 . בעל המסעדה או הבן של הבעלים התקשר אמר שמה שהזמנתי נגמר. בשיא תמימותי במקום לדרוש החזר כספי , שאלתי אם למחרת יהיה מה שביקשתי. אמר שכן. והבטיח שישלח היום באותה שעה בלילה 22:00. שאלתי אם בטוח יזכור שלא יגיד למחרת שההזמנה סופקה. אמר שלא אדאג. אבל ישראלים זה מילים לחוד ומעשים לחוד. הגיעה השעה 22:00 שום שליח לא מתקשר. המתנתי כחצי שעה בכל זאת 22:00 של ישראלים יכול להיות גם מאוחר יותר ושום כלום. התקשרתי למסעדה אך אין קול ואין עונה. חיפשתי את השיחה ממנה התקשר הבחור, מספר נייד השעה הייתה 23:11 והתקשרתי. ניתק את השיחה שוב ושוב. והתקשר וניתק בווצאפ ושלח" מי זה". שיחת טלפון אגב כבר הייתה מהירה יותר ויעילה יותר אם כבר הגבת. הזכרתי את שיחת הטלפון מאתמול ואת המשלוח שהתחייב לשלוח לי. במקום לפתוח בהתנצלות ולהגיד שהוא שכח ולהתנצל על עוגמת הנפש שלקוח יןשב מודאג מכסף ששילם ולא קיבל תמורה הדבר שהדאיג אותו זו השעה 23:18 דק עד שענה. וענה ש"הכל בסדר מחר יבדקו מה קרה" מה יש לבדוק?? לקוחה שהשארת אותה באוויר עם הבטחה שהמשלוח יגיע לא קיבלה אותו בשעת לילה שאותה המסעדה שלך מוציאה והדבר שמטריד אותןו זו השעה?? במקום להתחייב לי שההזמנה תישלח מחר ואפילו אפוצה , במקום להרגיע את הלקוחה שלא זרקה לפח 300 שח!!! הוא מדבר איתי על השעה! אז מסעדה יקרה: 1. מן הראוי שמסעדה תתן מענה עד שאחרון הלקוחןת מקבל את ההזמנה שלו. אם אתם לא מסוגלים לתת מענה אז אל תשלחו הזמנות בשעות כאלו.2. אם התקמצנתם על מענה למשלוחים בשעת לילה ולקוחה הזיעה עד שהגיע למספר ממנו אתם חייגתם אתם לא אמורים לתת לה הרגשה רעה על זה שהיא פנתה אליכם לנייד , כי אחרת אל תתקשרו ממנו. לא יאה ולא ראוי בכלל להאשים לקוח שכרגע מודאג מכספו על שעת לילה במקום לסגור את הטיפול בלקוח ולקחת אחריות על חוסר האחריות בזמן שעות פעילןת המסעדה שאז שכחתם את הזמנתי בשבילכם 309 שח זה דבר זניח. בשבילי זה מעבר למה שיש לי, שאגב עבדתי בשביל זה בשעות לילה ואז שילמתי לכם, אז אם קרה תקלה לא יפלו השמים אם תתנו מענה הולם לדבר שהוא באחריותכם ובאשמתכם גם אם השעה מאוחרת עבורכם כי אני כרגע נותרתי באוויר עם מאות שקלים שהלכו לפח ואוכל שיחסר משולחן החג כי הבן שלכם היה עייף מכדי לתת תשובה הולמת ובמקום לתת לי הרגשה שאני לא בסדר להתנצל על עוגמת הנפש ולהתחייב שהפעם באמת אקבל את התמורה למה ששלמתי!. אם דברים כל כך בסיסיים בשירות לקוחות מסעדה כל כך ותיקה לא יודעת כנראה שהלקוחות כבר הפכו מובן מאליו והגיע זמן לחשב מסלול מחדש. בטוחה שאם הייתם במקומי גם ב12 בלילה הייתם מתקשרים ולא יורדים מהקו עד שכספכם לא מוחזר! אני אפילו התחייבות לקבל את ההזמנה מחר לא קיבלתי רק ושוב הטחת אשמה בי על השעה! מקווה שאזכה לקבל את כספי בחזרה בדרך נאותה , זה המינימום המתבקש...
