Ilan's Coffee — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

Very friendly customer service! So why only 2 stars? Well, the coffee was tasteless. Whoever made the coffee wasn’t properly trained (speaking as a former Starbucks barista). They also have a very minimal selection of vegan food and pastries, and that’s not very wise for a TLV cafe, in my opinion, but that’s their business. I ended up buying a date-nut roll (they gave me 10% discount bc they felt bad for not having anything else for me to eat, which was very nice of them, but the roll was somewhat stale. The place is kept mostly clean, but not much effort is made to clean up the tables between customers. I didn’t check the bathrooms out, bc the TLV Mall’s next door are spotless. The ambience is pretty generic for a chain. I did notice that they offer warm blankets on cold wintery days, so someone conscientious is involved in the customer service side of the business. השירות והאוכל הכי מזעזעים שנתקלתי בחיים! בדר״כ אני מכבדת ומנסה לא להביע ביקורת שלילית על מקומות גם אם לא כל כך נהנת אבל הפעם המקום הזה חצה כל גבול❌❌ הזמנו 2 כוסות קפה שהיו אחלה ו2 קוראסונים- האחד פיסטוק השני סינבון, שניהם היו חמוצים מאוד, כשקראנו לבחורה (המאוד לא נחמדה) בדלפק היא לקחה את המאפים וטעמה אותם (נשים בצד את זה שמאוד מוזר בעיניי שהיא אכלה מהמאפים שאכלנו) ואמרה שזה לא חמוץ, הסברתי שאני יודעת מה הטעם של קוראסון ובאמת שזה ממש חמוץ והיא אמרה שהיא לא יכולה לזכות כי אכלנו חצי מהמאפה פיסטוק.. באמת סליחה שהיינו צריכים לסבול חצי קוראסון כדי להגיע לרוטב החמוץ. אז במקום להודות שהרוטב חמוץ וכנראה גם מסוכן, הבחורה שאמורה לתת לנו שירות החליטה לעשות פרצופים ולהגיד לי שאולי אני לא אוהבת את הקוראסון אבל חבריי לשולחן כן רוצים שאחזיר לשולחן את הקוראסונים..אחרי שהיא ליטרלי טעמה מהם. בקיצור ביקשתי זיכוי לפחות על הקוראסון שאכלנו ממנו ביס- אמרתי לה אם לא לקבל זיכוי על הקוראסון שאכלנו ״חצי״ כדי לגלות שמזעזע ופג תוקף וכנראה היה כל הסופש בדלפק, לפחות על הקוראסון שטעמנו ביס והיה דוחה. כמו כן, ביקשתי את שמה- נענתי בסירוב, ביקשתי לדבר עם הבעלים- שוב נענתי בסירוב. למקום המזעזע...

Good coffee but they messed up my order and instead of taking accountability and fixing it, they asked me to pay more (after I had already paid) since I ordered an iced drink when they charged me for a hot drink. They were wildly unfriendly about it too. Really...
