Negatives: No Marinara pizza?? — although I must add it appears that a simple marinara. Tomato, garlic and oil is non existent in Sicily so maybe it’s a me problem. HOWEVER! The server was extremely patient and kind and a managed to make one for us through Google translate.

Positives: good atmosphere, cosy and local. Proper traditional Italian spot. The dough was tasty, a bit thicker than other pizza’s but full of air and tasty. The marinara was very good for something that was made up through the translate app and the margarita was delicious, although a bit runny.

5 star simply for the professional service from the server and the patience showed from her as I tried to ask for custom pizza 🍕

This is serious pizzamaking. The dough is made with a homemade prefermented sourdough starter (Biga) resulting in a crackling ans soft pie. The combination of ingredients in the toppings is to die for. Ordered the 4 Funghi with creamed mushrooms fresh porchini, truffled mushrooms and dried mushrooms. HEAVENLY. Two days ago and I can still taste the flavour. Rosario the owner and Pizzaiolo is a gentle soul, helpful and a very friendly person. This place is definitely a hidden gem💎 we traveled around Sicily for 2 weeks and this place was one of the best we went to. Lovely waitress who didn’t speak much English but still tried to understand and explain and had a big smile on herself. She made us feel so welcome 🤗 the star of the show was the pizza, it was incredible!!! Perfectly salty base and the toppings all tasted so fresh!!
