We chose the tasting menus Memoria and Radici, each offering a thoughtful journey through flavors, textures, and culinary innovation. While both menus demonstrated exceptional creativity, Memoria stood out with its depth and execution—an experience simply incomparable.

From our perfectly placed table overlooking the kitchen, we enjoyed a theatrical view of the chefs at work, adding an extra layer of immersion to the evening. The dishes themselves were artful, showcasing elements of spherification and a tasteful fusion between modern techniques and traditional roots. Each plate brought surprise and delight, meticulously paired with an intriguing bottle of local red wine that complemented both the regular and vegetarian courses seamlessly.

The hospitality was top-tier. Staff introduced every dish with genuine passion and professionalism—infused with a wonderful sense of humor that made us feel entirely at ease. A special mention must be made for the welcome extended to our dog Toffee, who was treated with care and warmth from the moment we arrived.

As the evening came to a close, the chef’s warm wave goodbye was the cherry on top of an unforgettable dining experience.

My wife and I came here (in September 2022) as a recommendation from a hotel staff member at a resort we were staying at, and the experience we got at La Saletta was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. From the 1) lovely staff members, 2) the ambiance of the restaurant, 3) to the food, it was such a memorable evening.

The staff members were professional, friendly, and very attentive. Especially the main hostess/waitress -- she played a big role in making the menu tasting experience lovely. The got us a complimentary dish and a welcome drink. The ambiance of the restaurant was exactly what we were looking for -- a fine dining experience that felt very approachable. We got a great seat, sitting right by the window to outside AND into the kitchen where we got to watch the Chef curate each dish like a surgeon. Watching a piece of art work in-the-making brought this experience to another level. Lastly, the food.. We opted for the tasting menu and not only was the display of the food amazing, but the taste was equally incredible.

This was our last night in Alghero, and the previous couple of nights, we were disappointed with some of the other restaurants we went to in the town. They had great reviews online but the reality was different. La Saletta helped salvage our dining experience in Alghero. I highly recommend coming here for the tasting...

This was by far the best restaurant experience in Sardinia and perhaps up there in the top 5 (amongst the Ritz and the Savoy) of all places we have eaten. And I am saying this without exaggeration and bias! Not sure where to start the praise but perhaps Paolo deserves his own "star" - the maitre d' extraordinnaire! Great sense of humour (even after I've spilled a glass of aperol on the table!), deep knowledge, attention to detail, patience and no sense of hurry... Another 3 stars go to food. We had the pleasure of congratulating the sous chef for the divine creations - it'll be a while I would imagine before we taste something equally inventive. For me it was the suckling pig and the pompia desert - it sounds rather ordinary when put on paper in English but the poetry of those dishes cannot be captured easily. I'm not even going to mention the vast list of Sardinian wines... And the final star goes to the decor - white table cloths, art on the walls, sense of and peacefulness.
