Residence Picalè — Hotel in Alghero

Location: Good there’s a few coffee shops and nice restaurants nearby. You’re right opposite the beach. ||Pros: There is a market on Wednesday which is close by and well worth a visit! The night porter was so nice and informative when we looked for information on the market he gave us a map and marked out the route. Clean and tidy nice rooms.||Cons: We were staying for a week, we arrived on Sunday and our room cleaned on Tuesday (rooms are only cleaned once we were told when we asked for new towels).||Therefore, the towels were to last for 6 days, as the room was cleaned too early, it should have been halfway through week. Fair enough if you have policy we don’t have an issue, but the apartment should not have been cleaned so early! Also our towels got wet on the patio because it rained during the night so had we not gotten them on that Tuesday two days into 7days which was too early would you have left us with wet towels?? ||When asked for soap towards the end of the week (second last day) I was told no it was only on arrival that you got soap! There was only 2 soap, 2 hats and 2 gels yet three staying in the hotel so not enough for 3 people!! We were 3 adults and expected to use 2 tiny bar of soap for the week to was our hands. I was told “it’s a welcome package” when I said we are checking out tomorrow she told me “maybe I should go buy some” supply enough for the number of people staying! It’s not busy season this is October so surly one extra soap wouldn’t have killed them? ||On check in we had the same receptionist that refused us towels and soap (clearly on a power trip) and found her to be rude, unfriendly and unhelpful during both encounters! She was on her phone showing her colleagues videos and I was left standing waiting! ||Bins not changed and no bags available for a week, if they want people to recycle as per the sheet they should provide bin bags for the...

Absolutely can't fault the place. Just leaving after a fantastic ten days here.|| Immaculately kept,modern and light. Our room was beautiful, immaculate and very up to date, we have stayed in many around Alghero that have dated,dark rooms, this was lovely, very well appointed, wrap around balcony with sea view.||You can use a vending machine for snacks and drinks 24 hours which is handy,the hot drinks are delicious. The hotel is directly across the road from the beach with unobstructed views, beautiful. Great little super market two minutes away if you want to stock up on snacks,fruit and drinks.||Lots of car parking around if needed and the hotel is easily walkable into the town (we walked it once or twice a day) with lots of bars and restaurants along the way. ||Best of all are the staff, without exception all so helpful and friendly going out of their way to say hello and ask how your holiday is going especially Luigi who booked us in.||It's very reasonably priced also.||Air con, room safe, large TV in room,tennis courts and pool it's got the lot. Would highly recommend, we will definitely be staying here in future and hope to be returning very soon. ||Thanks guys it...

Stayed there for a week with my family (2 small kids) when we arrived the balcony's was full of water and sand, next day nobody came to clean it, so went there a day after to ask for at least new towels I think it would be normal to change them at least every second day, but the girl said they only change them every 3rd 4th day 🙃🙃 we were lucky to get towels after 3 days and also room and balcony cleaned! After another 3 days I came to ask for towels and she said they only change them once a week 😂😂 I said I have 2 small kids I really need new towels but she said I have to pay extra.. I paid so much for the hotel already... Shower gels was only there for the first day also... This girl was so unkind to us.. The hotel itself was only ok even in the renewed area. Only one lady at the reception was so helpful when we were leaving she did a lot of taxi prices research for us, was always smiling she was so kind and nice to us. Unfortunately because our room wasnt looked after at all I would never go back to this hotel again and I would give 1 star.
