I cannot give this restaurant high enough praise!!! We happened upon it randomly after a horrible dining experience at a 5 star hotel nearly. We could not have been more happy with the incredible food and incredible service here!!! This is a local family owned and run business- we met the sweet owner, her son is the chef, her relatives are servers. They all clearly care about this place and the pasta is TO DiE FOR!!! It was so so so delicious that we came back 2 nights in a row! We are foodies from USA-we stayed at JK Place which is the best on the island with wonderful food and service and we dined at some of the most exclusive crazy expensive beach clubs on the island but not one of them compared to this food!!!! The tuna tartare was the best I've had on any continent in the world, and I would say the same for their lemon ravioli past! The burata was home made and tasty as well! What an amazing restaurant! If you are looking for the best, authentic, heart-led Italian food you must add Il Solitario to your ‘must-dos’ whilst in Anacapri. Set in what feels like an enchanted forest, you dine under the trees, it’s very romantic! The owner greets you and can recommend the best food and wine of the day, or you can select from their extensive menu. We went with the famous Tuna Tartar (which was melt in the mouth fresh) followed by the mixed seafood pasta (the pasta was home-made and the flavour was the best we’ve had in Italy) Of course we had to try their fish if the day - once cooked brought to the table, before they served on our plates - an incredible sauce of lemon, olives and capers. And even though full we had to try one of their desserts, Tiramisu to finish (made by the owner!)
