I generally like to give the benefit of the doubt. Some other guests seemed quite happy. However, I wasn't comfortable in this restaurant & didnt really feel welcome. You were a product. A necessity to get in, put some food in front of & get out as quickly as possible. It should be an experience thats part of the visit to Capri. Like many of the other reviews, we were recommended the restaurant by our guide & thought it a safe bet. I would say what looked like the owner, gave a little rushed conversation when taking the order. Then the wrong wine was poured in a rushed fashion (A Chardonnay instead of the Pino Grigio. We noticed late as he walked away but we didnt mention it). A waiter in a different part of the restaurant (younger, bald with a beard) looked very friendly and was happy, chatting & laughing with diners thoughout our stay. But the waitress we had was cold & unfriendly. She also cleared the plates rapidly and individually, as soon as each of us had bearly put our cutlery down. Like a plate assassin. A plate clearing ninja. My wife loved her meal (Trancio di Salmone - Salmon with purèed potato plus a side of Broccoli). The children liked their pizzas (had better in Meta). My sliced chicken was plain, dry & over done (but better than underdone!) Overall, I think your welcome may be determined by their mood on the day, or your nationality, who knows? I tried to speak italian but its not great & they understandably steam rollered over that with English. No doubt to reduce errors & get us out as quickly as possible. I get that a restaurant gets busy & they have a business to run but we've had a lot friendlier service during our holiday. The welcome & interaction is important to the experience. Read moreOur tour guide recommended it which upon reflection is likely a “I’ll scratch your back, you scratch mine” type arrangement. But! The food itself was good, nothing to write home about and definitely has “tourist” prices attached to it.
The service was the absolute bare minimum.
The atmosphere was definitely impacted by road work happening by out the front. Nothing the business can do about it but that’s the experience when we were there.
Now to back up to the service.. we get the bill and the gentleman comes over the eftpos machine and says that lunch is €42 and how much is the tip to add on. I asked what he meant and he repeated himself and I said “no tip, just the total thank you” and he says “no tip. At all?” And seemed offended. The food was good but not great, the service was next to nonexistent (the owner took our order with nothing more than grunts and walked off, our food was dropped off by someone else and then this guy came to get us to pay… what service??) I had my card ready to pay and he said he would be back in a moment, walked away and then returned about a minute later and said “okay, so €47” and tried to add €5 tip himself?!? Let’s also consider that only 15 minutes later on the bus the tour guide is telling us that the locals make insane money off tourists tipping just because the local puts their hand out for it.

문제는 한 직원입니다. 안경을 쓴 중년 남성으로, 실수를 했음에도 이를 인정하지 않고, 오히려 손님에게 언성을 높이고 무례하게 굴었습니다. 하나만 시킨 라비올리를 두 개나 가져와 놓고, 아니라고 설명하는 제 말을 단 한 번도 제대로 듣지 않고 말을 끊고 손가락질까지 하며 고압적인 태도를 보였습니다. 결국 본인의 실수였다는 게 밝혀졌지만, 사과 한마디 없이 그냥 머쓱해하다가 자리를 떴습니다.
이건 단순한 서비스 문제가 아니라, 명백한 인종차별적 태도였습니다. 외국인, 특히 아시아 여성이라는 이유로 무시하고 대하는 방식이 너무 익숙해 보이더군요. 제가 이 나라 근처에서 일을 하고 있어 매일같이 이런 태도를 마주하지만, 이런 수준 낮은 응대를 음식점에서까지 당할 줄은 몰랐습니다.
한 사람의 태도 때문에 식당 전체의 인상이 바닥을 칩니다. 이런 인물을 전면에 두고 손님을 맞이하는 한, 이 식당은 절대 오래갈 수 없습니다. 관광으로 먹고사는 도시에서, 이런 무례하고 오만한 서비스는 그 자체로 수치입니다.

This was, quite honestly, the worst service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. The food was decent, but the service alone was enough to make sure I never return.
The problem lies with one particular staff member — a middle-aged man with glasses. Despite his own mistake, he refused to acknowledge it and instead raised his voice at me, acted rudely, and treated me with blatant disrespect. He brought out two orders of ravioli when we only ordered one, and when I calmly tried to explain, he kept interrupting me, pointed his finger at me, and spoke in an extremely aggressive tone. When it eventually became clear that he was in the wrong, he didn’t apologize. He simply walked away looking awkward, without taking any responsibility.
This wasn’t just poor service — it was clearly discriminatory behavior. He seemed all too comfortable dismissing and speaking down to me, seemingly because I’m a foreigner — and specifically, an Asian woman. I work in a neighboring country, so I’m no stranger to this kind of treatment, but experiencing it in a restaurant setting was both shocking and deeply disappointing.
One person’s behavior can ruin the entire impression of an establishment. As long as someone like that is working at the front, this restaurant has no future. In a city that survives on tourism, such rude and arrogant service is nothing short of disgraceful.
I absolutely do not recommend this place. I was deeply offended, and this review is the least I can do to document what I went through.
È stato, sinceramente, il peggior servizio che abbia mai ricevuto in un ristorante. Il cibo era discreto, ma il servizio è stato talmente pessimo da farmi decidere di non tornare mai più.
Il problema è stato un membro dello staff in particolare — un uomo di mezza età con gli occhiali. Nonostante l’errore fosse chiaramente suo, si è rifiutato di riconoscerlo, ha alzato la voce contro di me, si è comportato in modo scortese e assolutamente irrispettoso. Ha portato due piatti di ravioli quando ne avevamo ordinato solo uno e, mentre cercavo di spiegare con calma, continuava a interrompermi, mi puntava il dito contro e parlava con un tono estremamente aggressivo. Quando alla fine si è capito che aveva torto, non si è minimamente scusato. È semplicemente andato via, in imbarazzo, senza assumersi alcuna responsabilità.
Questo non è stato solo un problema di cattivo servizio: è stato chiaramente un atteggiamento discriminatorio. Sembrava del tutto a suo agio nel trattarmi con sufficienza, probabilmente perché sono straniera — e, più nello specifico, una donna asiatica. Lavoro in un paese vicino, quindi purtroppo non è la prima volta che subisco atteggiamenti del genere, ma viverli anche in un ristorante è stato scioccante e inaccettabile.
Il comportamento di una sola persona può rovinare completamente l’immagine di un locale. Finché qualcuno così lavora in sala, questo ristorante non ha futuro. In una città che vive di turismo, un servizio così arrogante e maleducato è semplicemente vergognoso.
Non lo consiglio assolutamente. Mi sono sentita profondamente offesa, e questa recensione è il minimo che possa fare per raccontare ciò...
