Vasari Cafe' — Restaurant in Arezzo

Sat down with my family for coffees, pastry and freshly squeezed orange juice (spremuta di arancia). The prices here are higher than usual; however, the location and the view may justify it. Coffee and pastry were good, but the freshly squeezed orange juice tasted like it is out of a bottle with pulp removed. I wanted to return the OJ and pay for the rest. The staff tried to convince me that this is how freshly squeezed orange juice tastes, because they filtered out the pulp. I told them thank you, but we don’t want it. Proceeded to pay and they tried to charge me €6 for what it tasted like bottled OJ. I objected and they removed the cost for the OJ, but made several sarcastic comments in Italian thinking I don’t understand. Very poor customer service, I don’t recommend. Great place to enjoy wine and bites while your kids play on the square. The staff was quick and attentive. Of course it’s a commercialised place, but that’s what you get on such a prime location. And even so, the prices were fair. A bottle of Prosecco can be had from about €25. They need to earn their rent back. The Prosecco came in a nice cooling stand, so we could enjoy it over time. Come in tutte le esperienze ci sono cose positive e negative, ma in questo caso la maleducazione e il non rispetto prevalgono. Luogo carino e accogliente, il ragazzo all'entrata gentilissimo e cortese, tempi di attesa brevi, ma bevande e cibo MOLTO CARI (un caffè 3€ senza dare nemmeno un bicchiere d'acqua o un biscotto), e una spiacevole situazione con il cameriere. Abbiamo ordinato diverse cose, tra cui una tisana, pagata la bellezza di 5€. La teiera era bollente, mentre l'acqua al sul interno era fredda (presumo fosse stata scaldata nel microonde); purtoppo ce ne siamo accorti quando abbiamo versato l'acqua nel bicchiere e dopo aver messo la bustina della tisana (dal momento in cui ce l'ha portata al momento in cui l'abbiamo assaggiata sono passati 4 minuti, e l'acqua, se fosse stata bollente, avrebbe dovuto fumare e non si sarebbe freddata così velocemente). Quando lo facciamo presente al signore che ci ha servito, lui in maniera sgarbata ci ha risposto che il problema era nostro perché era normale che dopo 20 minuti l'acqua si freddasse (non eravamo entrati nemmeno da 10 minuti). Dopo aver sbuffato ci ha riportato l'acqua, leggermente più calda, ma ovviamente non la bustina della tisana.
