Bottom line, I recommend the pizza! Crispy and tasty pizza, quick service, friendly staff, very clean facility, air-conditioned, and free WiFi!

We were in the area, in search of an air-conditioned space with a restroom. We happened to be within feet of this restaurant, so we stopped in.

The space was clean, air-conditioned, and had wi-fi. It had just turned 12pm, so there were only a handful of people inside.

The pizza: The pizza was called “Perugina” and it was so good! Thin crust, crispy, and tasty! The pizza had tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and sausage. We split the pizza four ways, though this would have easily been sufficient for 1-2 people.

The insalata mista: I believe this means mixed salad…but it was more or less a mix of green and red lettuce. The salad dressing was packets of olive oil and vinegar. It was an unexciting salad, but the olive oil and vinegar made the salad more desirable. If you want a more colorful and substantial salad, (perhaps with carrots, cucumbers, and tomatoes), then the insalata mista might not be the salad for you.

Our last morning I ordered a Cioccolato Caldo. It was awesome! The Best Hot Chocolate I have ever tasted!!!! Will try to post the photo I took. Andrea and his team are the best!

The Mixed bruschetta was excellent: Porcini was full flavored; the Veggie had a nice spiciness; and the truffle was delicious, like an olive tapenade. I ordered the Fusilli con pesto which was excellent. Could taste the Parmesan cheese in the sauce. Very tasty. My husband enjoyed the Penne con arrabbiata - nicely spicy. The house wine was a smooth San Giovese locally made at a vineyard about 25 kilometers from Assisi. The service was excellent. We've also been there for Breakfast. Service is always quick but we never feel rushed. Andrea is friendly and helpful and knows our breakfast preferences. Highly recommend Bar Santa Chiara. We will go there again soon. I ordered the 'Gnorante. The pizza was extremely good.

My server, his name is Andrew (in English), was extremely nice. One of my friends ordered one of the pastas, but unfortunately they didn't have the specific meat for that pasta. The server came back, told my friend, and suggested another pasta that was very similar. When my friends food came out, the server gave my friend double the sauce and double the cheese.

It took a while to get my pizza to me, but when I got it, Andrew felt like he should give me a free Brucott.

Even though they had only one of their pizza ovens working, they knew what they were doing. I really enjoyed the feel of the entire restaurant.
