Una delle migliori attrazioni di Assisi, spesso non considerata dal grande flusso turistico tutto incentrato su San Francesco e Santa Chiara. Eppure questo è il primitivo duomo della città, con una bellissima facciata romantica e soprattutto, una cripta straordinaria, magistralmente musealizzata! Il costo del biglietto è davvero basso, inoltre l'audio guida è davvero ben fatta e consente di cogliere particolari che altrimenti sfuggirebbero.
