Ristorante degli Orti — Restaurant in Assisi

Dined here for lunch today and enjoyed a fabulous pasta dish. There is limited seating outside on the patio, and quite a bit of seating inside. I arrived just before a large group of approximately 30 people, so it can accommodate a lot of people.

The service was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and most spoke some English (there is also an English menu). I was most impressed that there were several vegetarian options, although I do eat meat.

I ordered a regional dish, the Strangozzi alla Norcina, a pasta dish with a cream sauce with very small bits of mushroom, sausage and olives. It was delicious!

I would gladly go back the next time I'm in the area and try another dish. Great spot for...

We had the special menu of May where 30 euro we get glass of wine, roasted pork with side dishes also a plate as a souvenir. The wine didn’t arrive but we talked nicely about it and instead we got free 2 coffee. We tried also the local pasta strangozzi alla norcina , 😋 We spent around 45 euro for 2 people which is great for us. Service was fast maybe also because we came 2pm half an hour where most people are almost done...

We had an excellent meal here. It was pretty empty when we arrived at 7 something and getting crowded when were leaving about 8:40, but that’s Italy and while some of the patrons were tourists, most were Italian.
