Osteria Antichi Sapori — Restaurant in Bari

On arrival at this restaurant the lady who sat us was lovely (turned out to be the man's mum) we asked if it was possible to have arrabiata with no cheese, "si si si" she replied. When the food arrived there was cheese mixed in it, which is fine mistakes happen! We called the waitress over (the man's girlfriend) who took it away to change it. Then there was a lot of shouting from the back of the restaurant we could see the man was screaming at his girlfriend and pushed her, called his mum in and screamed at her at the bar. We could understand that this was all over the returned meal, and he also made comments about foreigners, which made us feel very uncomfortable as the whole restaurant had quietened down to listen to the commotion. His mum and girlfriend were clearly uncomfortable. At this point we asked for the bill and would have paid and left with no other problems, then he started screaming at us, "it is ready it is ready, what is your problem". He was very aggressive and said "that is my mum and girlfriend", as if he can treat them that way in front of customers.

We paid for the rest and left after yet another round of abuse from the man, and will...

We asked for "orechiete ". They told us that this type of pasta has finished! Then we ordered a "amatriciana" and a "carbonara" as we wanted to taste old Italian flavours. We took and a "capocollo with pecorino and tomatos" and as the owner - waitress insisted to sell as some fish plates, we felt obliged to ordered and a plate with "patate al forno". They have served as the capocollo and the potatoes, as we asked, then one of us eaten the arabiata, as the other was waiting for more than 20 minutes for the carbonara to came. The worst carbonara I have ever eaten in my life, worst than the one I had cooked on my own for the first time. It was about 60 gr. of pasta with much water flavoured and coloured by an egg. You could dring it - that had nothing to do with sauce. They asked us for desert, of course we took it at other place as we wanted to eat it at the same time! And 5 euro for half potato in the oven... I felt they just didn't...

Appena arrivati il personale si è mostrato cordiale e disponibile, soprattutto il signore più anziano, cibo molto buono e location accogliente tipica di Bari , PECCATO che una volta arrivati al momento di pagare ci dissero che non era possibile fare conti separati e che non l avrebbero fatto perché per loro era troppo impegnativo ,quindi volendo ognuno pagare quello che ha preso ci hanno dato un block notes per calcolare ciascuno quello che ha speso, non riuscendo a far tornare i conti con il totale chiediamo nuovamente se si potesse fare i conti separati e ci dicono che l avrebbero fatto , una volta arrivati alla cassa troviamo un signore sulla 30ina che non appena gli cominciammo a dire cosa dovevamo pagare cominció ad alzare la voce fino ad urlarci contro e a insultarci con frasi come : “ siamo all'asilo che facciamo conti separati, stai zitto sei a casa mia paghi e te ne vai fuori subito, stai facendo fenomeno , il simpaticone con i tuoi amici , e altri insulti in dialetto “ IMBARAZZANTE!; Lo scrivo anche e soprattutto per il signore scortese della cassa : la legge non solo permette ma obbliga i ristoratori a fornire conti separati se richiesto dai clienti. Il contratto di ristorazione è un vincolo tra il cliente e il titolare del locale che deve essere rispettato da entrambe le parti. Ah siccome ho visto la risposta alla recensione di Chiara che era con noi :- per prima cosa come ripeto per Legge voi avete l obbligo di far fare conti separati noi clienti non siamo obbligati a dirvelo prima anche perché l avremmo fatto senza problemi Se ce l aveste chiesto ma riprendo le sue parole : “noi di solito non lo diciamo prima “ Secondo non sei stato deriso da nessuno e come volevasi dimostrare il tuo commento in risposta alla recensione di Chiara del re conferma la sua cafonaggine , anche perché prima la signora ci concede di fare i conti separato poi ti ci URLI addosso insultando che è ingiustificato detto questo io mi scuso se avessi dovuto prenderla in giro come non è successo ma questa recensione e il suo comportamento non verrà mai cancellato. -Terzo non siamo noi tenuti a fare i conti di quanto vi dobbiamo pagare perché abbiamo chiesto di farlo separato perché non riuscivamo a dividerli a penna con lo scontrino e non ci interessava andare via senza pagare anche perché lo è stato fatto senza problemi. Ps non so se ha visto i suoi collaboratori ci sguardavo e scuotevano la testa assistendo alla scena ma si vedeva che erano abituati a queste situazioni, inoltre quando le diciamo che questo era un disservizio del ristorante lei dice che il disservizio era nostro 🤣 e per ultimo io non sono dell’idea che il cliente ha sempre ragione ma quando si tratta di diritti di una persona vanno rispettati e nulla giustifica gli Insulti !!
