My friend and I visited Gyrosteria Yannis out of curiosity to see how well it represents Greek flavors. As soon as we entered, we noticed that there were no Greeks working there, not even a Greek manager—only Indians. That’s not an issue at all. However, as soon as we walked in, they started speaking Italian to us. Since we don’t understand Italian well, we explained that we were Greek, obviously so they wouldn’t continue speaking Italian to us. One of them responded with an attitude: "And what should we do about the fact that you're Greek?" We only mentioned it so they would speak to us in a language we understand, not to act superior! They also didn’t speak English, except for one polite young man who helped us.

Now, about the food: As you can see in the picture, this is definitely not authentic Greek! The pita was soaked in oil, wrapped in napkins and parchment paper, and the napkin had stuck to the food—disgusting! 🤮 It’s a shame to call this Greek cuisine. 😥 If you’re looking for real Greek food, you’d probably be better off going...

Food was amazing, best food we had in our trip! Being coeliac had some pretty average meals on my trip however the gyros plate was amazing 🤩 they did offer a corn dough how ever the waiter so no because of cross contamination so o opted for the plate instead.
