Update: once the hotel heard about my experience, they went out of their way to make up for my experience. I had multiple managers come talk to me and apologize for what happened and their genuine concern really made up for the first dinner. I still don’t think the food here is to my taste but my view of the restaurant is no longer overshadowed by my first nights experience. Also they have awesome breakfast.

My experience here started out great. I am on my honeymoon and it is our first night in Lake Como. We were seated at a nice table with a spectacular view of the lake. The manager helped us pick a really great wine and we were really having a good time.

Then the food came out… The amuse bouches were good but the entree i ordered was terrible. It was a ravioli stuffed with fish I believe. The fish taste was way too overpowering. I took one bite and asked the manager if I could change it for something else since I did not like the food. I did not want to pay 25 euro for a dish I couldn’t eat. He started to take the plate away and then just left it on the table. I received the other dish I ordered which was a purple potato gnocchi. It was also not great (weird texture and flavors) but it was edible enough so I did not comment. My husband’s dish was also not good. It was a fish covered with breadcrumbs that had a sweet flavor to it.

Then we asked for the bill. The fish ravioli was on the bill so I asked them to remove it since I did not eat it. The manager came over and argued with me that there was no problem with the dish, it was my fault that I did not like the flavor and that he was not going to remove it. Just a bit of background info- I am a manager at a restaurant. I manage 80 employees and I have seen it all so trust me when I say that I am EXTREMELY nice to all restaurant workers because I know how difficult it can be; especially difficult customers so I was extremely polite when I asked to remove it. However he proceeded to argue with me that I had to pay because he left the dish on the table when my replacement dish came out even though I had asked him to take it away. So I had to pay for both dishes. It wasn’t until I pointed out to him that customer satisfaction is part of his job that he agreed to remove the charge. When he brought the replacement bill, he turned to my husband and tried to get him to take his side against me saying things like “It is not the restaurant’s fault your wife did not like the food, etc” and completely disregarded me. I left the restaurant still hungry, 90 euro poorer and extremely upset with the treatment I received here. The only good thing about this place...

The views are amazing! Unobstructed views of Lake Como and Villa Serbelloni. Attentive wait staff. Close to our condo. Unfortunately, the food and wine were super disappointing. We had solid to mind-blowing fish, pasta, pizza, salads, wine, and dessert for nearly every meal during our three weeks on Lake Como (super special meals at Lauro in Rezzonico, Il Crotto in Lierna, and Osteria 4 Pass in Varenna). My husband ordered the gnocchi which was solid but very small portion and I had the catch of the day which was fishy and also small portion and in strong contrast to the mouth-watering trout, agone, perch, and salmon I’d had for many other meals. (I also believe the server upsold me.) They also had no local white wines, not even from Piedmont. To finish our meal, we walked up the street to the casual pizzeria for crisp white wine and house made tiramisu and comparable views. I believe the breakfast reviews from the guests and I agree the service is attentive, but there are much better lunch and dinner places with fabulous views and way...

This is a must when in Bellagio! From the moment you walk in, till the moment you leave, the service is exceptional👌 We dined here quite a number of times during our 5 night stay in bellagio & we weren't even staying at the hotel.

The views are unlike any restaurant you will dine at in Bellagio. We didn't think this place was expensive. Considering it is a 4.5 star hotel, the prices here were cheaper than some other places in the main town.

Each time we dined, we would order a entree or two, mains and if we weren't too full, a dessert, maybe wine & coffee.

The food is using local produce, local specialities, & it's the simplicity & flavour which had us returning for more.

For a "fancy place" the environment & service wasn't "wanky". Each waiter/waitress speaks english too🤗

Next time we will stay at the hotel, the service alone makes it the best. This place is the difference between 4 & 5 star service!...

We stayed at HB so we figured it made sense to eat here for one of our lunches considering the spectacular views. The restaurant was very easy to make reservations with online prior to our arrival. They took us earlier than expected since we just happened to be ready for lunch earlier than our original reservation time. The service and staff were wonderful - more similar to a fine dining environment. My husband and I ordered a bottle of wine and a cheese plate to start. It was just what we needed! I ordered the fish of the day which was a grouper and my husband ordered the cotoletta. Both dishes were tasty and very filling. And let’s not forget the meal started with an amuse-bouche which was a nice beginning of the experience. Overall would recommend again - the views are definitely what makes it worth it.
