Enoteca Cava Turacciolo — Restaurant in Bellagio

This is one of the best wine bars I’ve been to. In Italy where there are wineries everywhere sometimes we forget why we go to wine bars since you pay so much more. But here’s why: if the wine bar is excellent like this one is they will introduce you to wines you’ve never had before that it would have taken forever to find on your own! We have been here twice and each time we get the biological wine tasting. Each wine we’ve tasted is outstanding and is from all over Italy. We had a local wine that we feel in love with so much we did a tasting at the winery and bought tons of bottles. We also had a wine from Sicily that was strong, ever changing, and truly represented its volcanic soil - unlike the numerous flaccid Sicilian negromaros I’ve been served before. This wine bar also has incredible cheese. We got it the second time and I gotta say it’s an absolute must order. My only complaint is that one of the servers is not friendly. I wonder if he’s the owner? His staff are absolutely wonderful but he’s a bit on the grumpy side and most def doesn’t like to talk to wine with...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem in Bellagio, Italy, and it was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere enveloped us in a warm embrace. The setting was intimate and cozy, exuding the kind of rustic Italian charm that instantly puts you at ease.

The staff were incredible—friendly, attentive, and exceptionally patient. They took the time to explain the intricacies of each dish and offered stellar wine pairings that elevated the entire experience. Speaking of wine, the selection was impeccable. Each sip felt like a journey through the vineyards of Italy, harmonizing perfectly with every bite.

As for the food, it was divine. Fresh ingredients, skillful preparation, and a dash of Italian flair combined to make each dish a work of art. The flavors danced on the palate, leaving us eagerly anticipating the next course.

absolutely cannot recommend this place enough. phenomenal food, incredible wait staff, extensive wine list, open late, and so accommodating. we came to como with no clue about nearly all businesses shutting down for the season so we got really screwed for dinner and came into bellagio hoping to find anything open and went to a restaurant who told us they were closed, as were all the restaurants in the area, but that there was this little wine bar that serves cold cuts and cheeses and possibly some dishes that is open until midnight and that we should try that, so we did and it was the best meal and experience we have had thus far on our journey through italy. and it was so cheap! we ordered 2 glasses of chardonnay, the roast beef carpaccio appetizer, the meats and cheeses board with honey for 2, and the ricotta ravioli and it came out to only €82, and for quite literally the best wine i have ever tasted and some of the best food. please give this place a visit if you’re ever in...
