Fantastic lunch Experience in Bellagio! We had a wonderful dining experience at Restaurant Bilacus, located on the famous Serbelloni staircase in Bellagio. On our last day, we decided to try this restaurant based on our host's recommendation. Although we had some trouble booking online, we arrived early and managed to secure a table for the three of us just as they opened – and we’re so glad we did, as it quickly became apparent that this place is very popular!
The "light lunch" menu was a great value without sacrificing quality. They offer two options: 2 courses (from starters/entree or entree/main- you can mix and match) for €35 or 3 courses for €45, which also includes a glass of wine, water, and a small dessert. The focus was on enjoying the meal at a leisurely pace, which made for a relaxing dining experience.
I couldn’t resist the fresh pasta, so I went with the homemade cacio e pepe fusilli (YUM!!) for my entrée and the fish of the day for my main. Both were absolutely delicious; fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My husband and mother were very happy with their meals.
If you're looking for great food, quality service, and value in Bellagio, I highly recommend Restaurant Bilacus. Be sure to book ahead or arrive early as it fills up quickly!

Read moreWe were hoping for good things tonight after some doozies so far this week. Ristorante Bilacus did not disappoint. A beautifully presented restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating situated on the famous steps of Salita Serbelloni in Bellagio. Paul had again prebooked and paid a deposit so again we had high yet cautious hopes of things to come. We were sat on the terrace and it was a lovely fairly intimate setting which was surprising as it’s on such a main walk through. The staff were AMAZING 🥰 attentive, friendly, helpful, industrious and did I mention attentive ? Our wine glasses were never empty, my seat was pulled out for me when I stood up and every request was met with graciousness. The food….the food was sublime ! We had a burrata and caviar appetiser to share - sweet baby tomatoes and the creamiest, lightest burrata. For primo I had risotto - al dente and perfetto- and Paul had Gnocchi with duck ragu- divine. We then had the fish catch of the day to share - delicate sea bass with a very manageable side of potatoes and veg lightly flavoured with fennel. Again my gluten free needs were met with knowledge and advice that left me feeling comfortable and we left feeling sated and sleepy 😂 thank you to all the staff of Bilacus - we will be back ( on Wednesday actually 😂 )

Read moreWow. Leaving this resteraunt left me speechless and not in the way I would have liked. I went with a group of 8 people. The resteraunt was highly recommended by our hotel concierge. We were really looking forward to it because for most of us, It was our last day of our trip to Italy. Unfortunately, we left so disapointed. The food itself was okay...but nothing close to the caliber of quality of the other resteraunts on this trip. The service was to a level I have never experienced before. The moment that we stepped into the resteraunt we were clearly unwanted. The waiter was talking about us to another Italian couple...I don't speak itailian however I do speak fluent Spanish and can make out that we were unwanted. We were rushed in between courses and were not offered desert before the check came out. When it was time to pay our waiter randomly informed us that there card machine is broken and they just want cash. That was very unusual to us because they checked out the other tables with card and their machine worked fine. We were forced to find an atm and get cash. We were very upset by this because we felt like this was unfair treatment and it really left us feeling like we were scammed. Extremely disappointed. Please save your self a trip and do...
