Rudest service I ever had in 3 Italy cites (Roma, Venice, Como area).
My family (2 adults and 2 kids) went to the glassy outdoor seating of this restaurant around 1:30 and wanted to have an afternoon drink and snack. When we sat down, I told the waiter that was setting up the table that we are here just for drink. He didn’t respond. When we were ordering drinks, my son wanted to hear the the long list of fruit juice option (sounded they had 8 or 9 options), but the waiter taking order just brushed us off saying “it seems you are not ready, I will come back later”. Later we asked him to come around and I politely asked him to repeat the drink list so the kid can make a choice. We were slow in ordering and clearly we were not ordering any lunch items. He quickly exchanged a conversation with another waiter in Italian (I don’t speak Italian). So the third waiter came and said rudely to us that this is a lunch seating and he can’t let us only order drinks. If we don’t order lunch we have to move across street to the indoor seating. I told him nobody explained that when I clearly said we were here for a drink. I can order a dessert in addition to the drinks we ordered. We will be out of here in 15 min to catch the boat. He still kept repeating “you have to order lunch”. Note that this was happening with them charging 2.5 euro per person anyway.
In the end, We had 2 bottle of water, one fruit juice, 1 dessert of the day, total of 31 euro and stayed to finish the these...
Read moreLet me by start saying this was the best dining experience overall during our stay in Italy of 90 days. This restaurant was Interestingly displayed with Fully glass see through classic atmosphere located by Lake Como right next to Ferry Stop. I was bit curious since it was getting cooler at night but no worries restaurant was warm indoor. Almost every single table were seated and this place is recommended to make a reservation. Gladly we didn't need one. Attentive and fast Top notch service great recommendation of menu. It was so good that we went here two nights in a row. Our favorite dish was Grilled Veal, tasted absolutely delicious, was tender as cooked medium with flavored with intense truffle mushrooms. We also tried beef carpaccio as an antipasti. On our pasta dish try we ordered Wild Boar Tagliatelle tasted light mostly pasta but still was delicious. Ofcourse that good and service was so good we decided to order an expensive bottle of Tignanello to make our hundred percent special. They offered some cultural drink like limoncello after dinner. Thank you, so glad that we chose this place as our special date spot in our Bellagio seven nights stay....
Read moreVery rude staff! We wanted to eat here but the waiter, Stefano(he told me it’s his real name but I doubt it was real), was extremely rude and impolite. We politely asked for a table, he looked us up and down, and told us it was break time. I asked why, since I’ve traveled to many countries and have never encountered restaurant breaks like this, especially with 3–4 staff members standing around and nearly every single table taken. He replied, “Maybe in the streets where you eat, there are no breaks.” I later returned to ask for his name, and he continued being rude and laughed in my face... I’ve never experienced such unprofessional behavior, completely unacceptable. I understand if he said that politely, but he literally laughed at us. And to be honest,he was such an unpleasant person,I would not recommend going there, trust me even if the food ‘was good’ You leave this place with a bitter taste in your mouth bc the waiters literally make fun of you :) And as I’ve seen the restaurant’s replying to 1 star reviews is also rude and sarcastic) Avoid...
