FUORI PORTA CAFFÈ — Restaurant in Bergamo

We happened to pass by and decided to go inside for lunch. There were no customers inside. Since we had backpacks and jackets, we headed towards a table for four, but the waiter rudely seated us at a table for two. He also looked at our bags on the floor as if it were a problem. He took our order with a rude attitude.

We ordered pizza. It was prepared and served much faster than we expected. And it was unexpectedly delicious, we really enjoyed it.

While we were eating, another customer arrived, and unfortunately, the waiter was also rude to them. It was evident that his attitude wasn't just towards us but to everyone. It was horrible! I ordered an omelette, it was burnt and smelled terrible, like it was fried on dirty pan, I couldn’t eat it. I explained the problem to the waiter and asked to take it away. I expected them to take the omelette off the bill. However, they said that this is how omelettes are usually made and theirs is special, so I would have to pay for their "special" BURNT omelette. I kindly asked them to try the omelette if they believe it’s made good and they refused and asked to pay for it... Also, they forgot to bring another dish, greek salad we ordered, so we didn’t even try it. The only thing that was okay was the coffee. No respect for customers, terrible food, it seems like they don’t care about their quality of food... I strongly do not...

We have found our favorite Bar in Begamo: fuori porta caffe! Best coffee in town and the people are very kind, sitting inside is cozy and sitting outside is very nice as well. We love it! On top it is very clean. February 2023: The lasagne was not so my style, very small and 10€ for 1 lasagne, which is very high priced in my mind. May 2023: the Big Boy managing the tables outside is very arrogant and you get the impression he is bothered by your wishes or extra wishes.
