Before even coming to our trip to Bergamo & Milan we discovered a Hungarian blog about what to do in Bergamo and one of the recommendations was this restaurant. We decided to try out and I am so happy we did - everything was amazing!
Great selection of local food (they dont serve pizza or lasagne, they focus on the local food scene) and amazing service, friendly and family-owned. We wanted to try as many things as possible, so they kindly offered to split all the main courses in half so we could try 4 different kinds of food (that's why the portions can seem small in the pictures). The local red wine was also so good, both of us had 2 glasses.

Read moreThis is a surprising delight I found with my brother Greg, set back off the main avenue near the station. Despite its old-fashioned look , the waiter was professional, and the food seemed authentic local fare, not just your usual pastas.
We chose two mains of pork knuckle with potato skins, and braised beef with creamy polenta. The side veggie dish of boiled zucchini, carrots and potato was unimaginative, but did evoke a real farmhouse meal!
