the food is good and the service is not bad. Little back story,,, typically here where we live, in the afternoon you go to restaurants for lunch, so all these restaurants have like 10€ menus sometimes 20€ but thats like a typical price range for lunch, so the place we usually go to was full (keep in mind most of the restuarants won't let you book in advance if its not like for a business meeting) so we walk into this restaurant they give you their lunch menu, and the guy suggested a few dishes, the one dish he suggested wasn't on the menu (shame on us for not asking the price but thinking he knows everyone comes for the lunch menu) so we order the dish he suggested for 2 people and the other person takes whats on the menu,,, lunch menu says 12€ per person plus coffee we get our coffees and go to pay freaking €80 for 3 people... so if you want to go for lunch menus don't let them catch you the way they caught us.. like i said the food is good but the person who suggested the dish was dishonest, well thats how we all felt. And that also made us non returning customers,,,i also wouldn't suggest a place where i feel the owners and servers...

When it came to choosing wine there was no menu only a large board on the wall with the regional wines and no prices. The waiter who spoke english asked what type of wine we would like and the price range we asked for a local red @ not over €20. The food arrived the pasta primo was nice and the secondi hamburger was only ok. The wine was nice but when the bill arrived it was priced at €20 exactly. We had the same wine in another restaurant the next night at €18, so ok. We went again today for a glass of white wine and were charged €14 for two small glasses and including the 'aperativo' which arrived without us ordering it and is traditionally free in the Lombardy region. This is a lovely place with a real buzz but people need to be able to choose their own wine and...
Read moreWe arrived 30 min before closing time and they welcomed us with no problem!! The waitress was very gentle and explained us the menu and she made some recommendations such as the tartare di manzo, I have to say it was the best tartare that I’ve ever ate. She recommended as well the wine originally from Bergamo and it was excellent choise!! And the main dishes were as well brilliant!! We tried as well torta de miele as a dessert and the tiramisu!! Service was excellent they invited us 2 limoncello shots!!! It is nice to find a place like that, with calm atmosphere, where you can have a very quality food with a reasonable price!!we were very relax and enjoyed so much!!!if we come back again to Bergamo, we will come back for sure!!! It is worth it to have the meal there and then go to the citta alta where it is...
