Our visit there wasn't worth the price. First of all - coperto! which is very annoying for me as a tourist. Acceptable, if you pay for a nice table with cover and great service with a touch of class. It is definitely not such a place. The menu is unreadable, with freaky unclear letters. Prices are very high, so we've ordered just one pizza to try the taste - waiter wasn't satisfied that we haven't ordered anything else. Pizza was pretty good, but when we've finished eating, waiter came to us asking, if we wanted anything else. We've asked for the check and the waiter has gone. In the meantime, some other man working there, was walking around the tables, wearing... tracksuit. After 10-15 minutes when we still didn't get the check, I had to come myself to the cashdesk to pay. The same man in the tracksuit was sitting there, didn't answer me in English but he just wrote the amount I had to pay on the calculator lying next to the cash... He didn't even ask if everything was OK with the dish. So, what was the coperto paid for? Only to get extra money form tourists... And a service wearing tracksuit? Please... First and last...
Read moreWe had such a marvelous time, especially thanks to the warm-hearted, personalized service and special treatment given to us by Luca, who took care of making sure we had authentic Italian food, vegetarian-style. He engaged with us perfectly, checking in as needed but also giving us our time and space to focus on one another as we tuned into the moment. The red wine also paired perfectly with the pizza, which was made in Naples’ style, and delicious. I would definitely come back again for just the pizza crust alone… as well as the excellent service, which made us feel at home. From start to finish, it was an incredibly romantic evening. We felt so lucky to be seated by the window and have the antique yellow incandescent lighting set the stage for an evening dinner experience that took me back to when I first fell in love with my husband, and we let the dinner transport us...
Read moreI'm baffled by the low ratings. It's like people expect their pizza to be delivered by a gourmet space shuttle. Newsflash: it's pizza transporting your toppings in a backpack on a motorbike... I doubt the pie is the culprit. This place serves up pizza faster than a Ferrari on a racetrack. And the taste? Let's just say it's a culinary S-Class. The staff? Friendly and helpful. The view? Lovely. The pizza? Divine. Google ratings? Clearly, they need a pizza their size.
Update from day after... Your Polish pals, conquered the Gluten Coma Trail once more! This place is still the bread and butter of our Italian adventures. The limoncello and meloncello were the perfect cherry on top of our carb-loaded pies and pastas. Or should we say, the perfect digestivo to our...
