(!!) I was visiting the city with my sister, and on our last night, we went out for a drink. We were super excited because it was karaoke night⌠but that excitement DIDNT LAST LONG. The karaoke lady, âLaura,â kept moving people ahead of us to sing, and my sister even overheard her saying, âthey will not sing.â We donât know why⌠whether she didnât like us, the song choice (âInesquecĂvelâ by Sandy & Junior - the guy that was moderating before her told us he found it and we were happy about it!), or something else. She kept giving us side-eye the whole time, and people who arrived after us sang several times, while our song never came up. Eventually, we got uncomfortable and left the bar.
However, I want to give props to the guy serving usâhe was very sweet and made us feel welcome. Thank you. As for Laura, it seemed like she wanted to be the star of the night and felt intimidated. We literally saw her pushing our song down the list multiple times. Sadly, we couldnât end our trip with the beautiful tribute we wouldâve loved to share with the people in the bar. What a shame. I hope, Laura, you were just having a bad day⌠Otherwise, if this is your usual behavior, maybe you should consider doing...
Read moreThe Mrs and I had a really hard time finding a friendly and welcoming bar for english people in bergamo. But Mamos is the only place we really felt welcome, great atmosphere. I explained to a member of the bar staff whom spoke spanish which I also speak, that we really didnât feel welcome anywhere. All throughout the the first night he kept coming up to us to make sure we were okay. Which both me and the Mrs found really sweet, the owner is also just as welcoming and caring. 100% recommend, I know a gay bar was the one place that we wouldâve felt welcome and I was right. The first night we come they had a karaoke night on which was really good.. plenty of very talented singers, and the place was packed. The second night they had a chest night on, although I donât play chest it was a good atmosphere again. Plenty of fun to be had. If youâre in Burgamo and want a place to drink, this is the place. Weâve been all over and by FAR the BEST place to drink without a doubt. Better than any irish pub or anything. Gay or not for sure worth a visit. Iâd give 10...
Read moreSuper fun place!! We arrived in Bergamo late on a Sunday night after 9pm, checked into our hotel and then went to eat. Afterwards, we wanted a quick drink and walked to Mamoâs. The energy inside was fun and exciting. Apparently itâs karaoke night on Sunday and everyone was enjoying themselves. The bar staff found us a table and brought us menus. The drinks were very good and not expensive. Sadly, they had to stop The karaoke at 1am due to the noise level, otherwise I think the fun would have continued nonstop. So many good things to say about this place. The atmosphere is fun and safe, the drinks are fantastic, and the staff is super friendly. I will happily come back to...
