Osteria Della Dogana — Restaurant in Bergamo

A truly wonderful dining experience! Osteria della Dogana is a cozy and charming spot that delivers both flavor and warmth. We ordered the shrimp and octopus pasta, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh seafood, perfectly cooked pasta, and rich, balanced flavors that left us speechless. The casoncelli was another highlight—tender, flavorful, and clearly homemade, with that comforting taste you only get from traditional recipes.

To accompany the meal, we had their homemade wine, which was smooth, well-rounded, and surprisingly good—it paired beautifully with everything we ate. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making us feel like we were enjoying a meal at a friend’s home.

And then came the tiramisu—wow! It was creamy, light, and had that unmistakable homemade touch. Possibly one of the best tiramisus we’ve had in Italy. Not too sweet, just perfectly balanced.

The service was warm and friendly, and the staff clearly care about what they do. You can feel the love in every dish.

Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, generous portions, and a true taste of local hospitality. We left full, happy, and already...

We came across Osteria Della Dogana (It's a shame we found you so late), which is not far from our apartment. We were looking for a restaurant nearby, as we didn't have the energy for another trip and were hungry. We managed to get a table, we felt nervous because the restaurant was almost full, but our charming waiter led us to our table. The menu was in Italian, but the chef took the time to come out and explain the menu to us, from drinks to dishes you can think of. For an appetizer we ordered oysters, which we had always wanted to try, and it was the best decision! I ordered the seafood pasta and my partner got the pappardelle with truffles. It was wonderful. We have never eaten such delicious food. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on Tuesday, which made us incredibly sad, because we wanted to taste this delicious food once again.

I can't believe I only found this place on my last night. It truly is a hidden gem.

Seriously great food of a quality that I did not find anywhere else during my 4 day stay in Bergamo.

The staff were wonderful, kind, friendly and engaged. Checking in repeatedly with out bring obtrusive. The service was excellent, enough time between courses to digest food and absolutely no pressure to leave.

Plenty of parking options on the nearby streets. It's perfect for couples or for families. The staff were great with children at a nearby table.

I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bergamo. I have saved it to my list of must go places for my next visit.
