Delicious Casoncelli ! We stayed nearby and every day we saw that the majority of tables outside (or maybe even all of them) were taken. We were confused because both (Dal Carlo and Bar Basket) turned out to be the same place :) The outside garden is very cosy, service - we have waited very long time to order food, but I understand that since it was very crowdy. I must add that we were able to order (and receive) drinks almost immediately after we sat at the table. I recommend this place

This place is amazing. Best and cheapest meal we have had in Italy. Plus they were super nice to our kids (1 and 3) and even brought them ice and bandaid when my son was running on the sidewalk and fell. Recommend the mixed grill and the antipasto (pictured). They have an English version of the menu but no one speaks english, all Italien locals eating here. Be aware the name is slightly different from what's in google, just look for "borgo" and you will find it.

PRO: - ambiente molto bello (quando vuoto) - personale gentile ed attento - vasta scelta di vini CONTRO: - qualitá dei piatti sotto la media - tagliatelle fatte in casa.. Pessime e troppo spesse. - il locale è stato riempito a dismisura, non ci si muoveva. Perfino il bancone era apparecchiato... - titolare scortese, alla nostra richiesta del conto ha insistito con il volerci offrire un'amaro concludendo con "mica ve lo faccio pagare". Volevamo solo scappare fuori da quella gabbia, dell'amaro ce me importava ben poco... CONCLUSIONI: Sconsigliatissimo, pessima esperienza. Qui occorre che pensiate a coccolare il cliente e non ad ammucchiarlo all'interno. Caro Carlo, se solo ci avessi trattati meglio avremmo speso molto di più e pure la serata successiva. Quello che ho percepito è che in questo ristorante ci sia poco amore e tanta voglia di massimizzare i guadagni.

We were on a trip to Bergámo for 2 days. The first day we ate at Borgo and it was fantastic. We left happy (and a little bit tipsy because of the limoncello from the house, two times) Great service, very nice terrace, with a good atmosphere. (was no table available after 30 minutes) Unlike other restaurants the tables at Borgo (outside) had enough space between each other. We enjoyed our three courses, wine, water, icecream and coffee. (menu for €25) Never had a meal as cheap and nice as this one in Italy for that quality and that much. Will...

Delicious food and the warm hearted staff will make your experience truly unique here, one of a kind! We visited with a friend yesterday night during our short, less than one day visit and we were looked after so well that we truly felt special!

Million thanks to everyone - Miss Irini, the two gentlemen as well as to the other lady. I couldn’t recommend Dal Carlo highly enough and both my friend and I look forward to visiting as soon as we are back in beautiful Bergamo.
