One of our favorite restaurants in the world. ❤️ We come to bergamo every year in May for 10 days, and this is our special place! Indeed, the food is delicious and the menu varied, as it is both a restaurant and a pizzaria Everything is presented nicely, fresh ingredients, and homey (authentic) recipes. The wood-burning oven (and the experienced pizzaiolos ) turn out perfect pizza— every time— in literally no time!

Yes, the views are STUNNING, particular at sunset but anytime, really— even in the rain, it is a magical place. Saturdays and Sundays, the restaurant is filled with families, groups of friends, celebrations, locals and some tourists as well— you feel like you’re at a family’s home! (Which, in a sense, you are— the owners live there— it is a true family business!) There is also a huge lower-level garden terrace— make a reservation! In addition to the delicious food, well-curated wine list (reasonable prices ) and amazing views, you get service like no other! The welcome is always warm and the service is impeccable, attentive and friendly. Don’t hesitate to ask for wine suggestions!

We have been coming for so many years that we truly feel like extended family. Seeing how everyone is doing, year after year, is special. The fact that there is little turn-over of wait staff there speaks to the excellent quality of management and the integrity and professionalism of the people who work there!

I chose this restaurant specifically for the view, as it seemed like the perfect spot to enjoy a meal. However, the experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the host, who I presume was the owner, and he clearly directed me to sit in the second row, away from the best view, presumably because I was dining alone. A table with a great view for two became available shortly after I sat down, so I politely asked the waiter if I could move. He was visibly embarrassed and told me the table might be reserved. The table remained empty for almost the entirety of my meal, proving it wasn’t reserved after all.

The whole situation was extremely disappointing, especially since I picked this restaurant for the view. The food itself was average—not bad, but certainly nothing special. The waiter who served me was kind and professional, but the overall experience was soured by the poor treatment and lack of consideration.
