Amazing Experience at La Marianna â 5 Stars!
La Marianna in Bergamo is an absolute gem and a must-visit for anyone traveling to this beautiful city. From the moment you step in, you are welcomed with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home.
The highlight, of course, is their famous Stracciatella gelato. Itâs no wonder theyâre known as the birthplace of this incredible flavor â itâs the creamiest, most delicious gelato Iâve ever tasted! The balance of the rich cream with the delicate chocolate shavings is pure perfection. Itâs not just a dessert; itâs an experience.
Beyond the gelato, the menu is full of delightful options. Whether youâre stopping by for a quick coffee, a sweet treat, or a full meal, everything is crafted with care and attention to detail. I also tried their pastries and was blown away by the freshness and flavor.
The location adds even more charm to the experience. Situated near the entrance to CittĂ Alta, itâs the perfect spot to pause and enjoy the beauty of Bergamo. You can sit outside on their lovely terrace and soak in the atmosphere while indulging in world-class gelato or other delicacies.
The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every guest feels special. Their passion for what they do truly shines through, and it elevates the entire experience.
La Marianna is more than just a cafĂ© â itâs a piece of Bergamoâs history and culture. I canât recommend it enough. If youâre visiting Bergamo, make sure this spot is on your list. You wonât regret it!
Thank you, La Marianna, for an unforgettable experience. Iâll definitely be back on my next...

During my recent visit to Bergamoâs charming CittĂ Alta, I had the pleasure of stopping by La Marianna at Largo Colle Aperto, 4. Seated on their spacious outdoor terrace, I indulged in their specialty affogato a delightful combination of rich espresso poured over their signature La Mariannaâs original 1961 creation, stracciatella creamy gelato. Complementing this was a refreshing Aperol Spritz, perfectly balanced and served with a smile.
The gelato was creamy and rich, with generous chocolate shavings that melted perfectly on the tongue. It was evident that high-quality ingredients were used, making it one of the best Iâve tasted.
The ambiance was serene, with the sun casting a gentle glow and the world leisurely passing by. Itâs no wonder La Marianna is renowned not only for inventing the iconic stracciatella gelato in 1961 but also for providing such memorable experiences. ïżŒ

But, what really was the reason of us ordering again and again and again! ( dolce, coffee, dolce, coffee, gelati, we felt ashamed of snacking so much!! So the real reason is the very kind and hard working people. They all looked as many Italian people, good on their stylish outfits, they were quick with bringing the order and we met Sarah who also made a special impression on us. I did not get it, order inside or outside? She was very kind and she let me order where I wanted. We did pay the prices for eating it on the spot. Coperto was included. So that was fine. Thank you hard working and lovely team of Italians! You made our visit to Bergamo special! Thank you thank you thank you! And to Sarah, stay true to your heart, to yourselfâ€ïž make choices which are good for you. Create your luck, donât wait for it. Go get it. Love from all...
