It was a very sad experience: I never give bad reviews but I felt I needed to speak about this. We arrived at 12:20 - We were 20 mins late for our reservation (and we apologized greatly ) that being said from the moment we sat down they harassed us to order and made us feel very guilty for being late. We were refused to order a antipasto so we ordered immediately our main dish. Not more than 15 mins of getting our dish they were trying to clear our table. It was clear that we were not done. Then one of our party had to bring their baby to change in the bathroom. They asked us to hurry to choose a dessert. We told them we will wait for the father. Once the father came back we swiftly ordered our dessert which arrived 5 mins later. We barely even began when they brought the bill and asked us to pay immediately screaming at us in front of the whole resturant. We didn’t finish our dessert when we went to go pay which again they accosted us for being late. They told us on the phone that there next table was for 2pm, we left the resturant at 1:35pm. It was terrible and beyond rude. Yes the food was good and the place beautiful but I can’t tell you enough how rude they were and borderline scary on how...
Read moreWhat an awful experience it was! First, the server was surprised when we asked to be seated on the terrace (it was a gorgeous evening), even though there were already a few people there. He made a big deal out of it, which was completely unnecessary. Then, it turned out that the menu they had on their website was old and the server explained their new menu to us, but he did it in rush and failed to fully translate it to English. It left us confused. Next, they forgot to bring us olive oil and bread while everyone else around us got it. Finally, the food we ordered was terrible. If you want to eat delicious Casoncelli, go to La Scagna. The one they served us here was poorly seasoned and tough. Risotto was nothing to be proud of. It was too salty and it looked awful.
It was our last night in Bergamo. I had high expectations for this restaurant, but I left it paying 30 EUR for what was one big...
Read moreIt’s a highly recommended place in bergamo. It’s famous for its typical Bergamasca food and it’s location. It’s not always easy to get a reservation for a table here. I visited this place on a sunny day with 5 friends and it had a nice ambience inside. It felt very Italian and the staff was very supportive. There were some vegetarian options and I enjoyed my meal and time there. Although, I found the prices a bit much as compared to what I had. I got to know that they do make tiramisus in house on the weekends, so for tiramisu lovers, I can recommend to try it on the weekend. And if you’re a vegetarian and no wine drinker, maybe you can find a lot more other restaurants in bergamo to enjoy food. All of my friends who ordered dishes with meat really enjoyed...
