051 Osteria — Restaurant in Bologna

My husband and I decided to grab lunch here our first day in Bologna shortly after checking into the hotel since it was close by and had decent reviews. I ordered the Tagliatelle alla ragu bolognese and my husband ordered the lasagna. His lasagna was pretty good but not nearly as good as one I got at a different restaurant for dinner another night we were there, but my tagliatelle was disappointing. It was only ok. I’d probably give 3.5 stars overall for the food, but the service was terrible. Once we got our food we couldn’t get someone to come back to the table at all, despite both servers walking by several times. And on top of that, we were sitting at a table outside and had several people come up and ask us for money (who didn’t even look homeless), which didn’t happen at any of the other restaurants we ate at in Bologna, despite seeing other homeless people throughout the city. The staff was not super friendly. The reason being is just because you bring your own water and multiple waiters came here ask you to order water or drink which you don’t feel you would like to order. Definitely not because I have got my own water so I wouldn’t like to order drinks just because I don’t want to. And had being warned I can’t drink my own water in the restaurant which I didn’t drink any out of my water bottle.

Would definitely NOT recommended this restaurant. The waiter and waitress will treats you like you are here to be humiliated sad 😭

Plus, waiters want ask you how you feel about the food, the only thing they ask is would you like to order some food, dessert, and...

The food would get 5 stars, however, an avarage waiting time after being seated of 20 minutes just to get asked what we would like to order it’s definately to much. The disorganization at the base: only one person is entitled to direct customer to sit down and to get orders. This inevitably creates delay in the process.

Customer service, apart from this, is fine. The price is avarage considering the location you are eating.More consideration should be taken for smokers people to be NOT allowed to smoke even outside as it may disturb others. Conclusion : if you don’t have anywhere to go, you can come here but be mindful not to have time...
