Pizzeria Margherì — Restaurant in Bologna

We visited on a Saturday night at around 7.45pm without a reservation however the restaurant were able to squeeze us in but we had to give table up by 9pm. This was ok though as we were not planning on eating heavy anyway.

We ordered a bottle of wine and water for the table, myself and partner ordered Posillpo pizza and my mother in law the burger. All were enormous and tasty. We also finished with tiramisu which was rich and indulgent.

The staff were friendly efficient and helpful and didn’t make us feel rushed even though we were on a time limit.

The waiters are very friendly and surprisingly quick, orders are fast as well and even though the place was buzzing I had my pizza in minutes. There was a bit too much dough for me and definitely too much cheese. Neapolitan style isn't centered on cheese and dough alone, it's about the perfect balance between all ingredients. However, interpretations are of course personal, and always come with a spatial twist - Bologna isn't called "The Fat One" for no reason, so if you're into that, this place will not disappoint.
