We stumbled across this charming restaurant by accident two days ago and decided to give it a try for lunch... It was EXCELLENT! Very fresh, very flavorful and piping hot when it arrived! We loved it so much that we went back last night to celebrate my husband's birthday. The staff was wonderful and made it a very special night for us which was so appreciated! Anna and Fabio took excellent care of us! For our dinner we had MOMA wine, a delicious Sangiovese & Cabernet Sauvignon blend, eggplant parmigiana - the best we've ever had, grilled vegetables cooked perfectly, baked sea bream also cooked perfectly with delicious vegetables & flavor, and velvety smooth & creamy panna cotta, also the best we've ever had! For lunch the day before we had Linguine Vongole which was deliciously seasoned and served very hot, and the chestnut pasta with leeks & bacon as well, also flavorful and delicious! We've been traveling in Italy for two months and this is one of our two favorite restaurants! We highly recommend Tagliatella! Five stars for wonderful food, wonderful wine, and wonderful service too! Many thanks...
Read moremy first meal in Bologna, it was absolutely divine. you can really tell the quality of the home-made pasta in each bite!
we wanted to sit outside but unfortunately there was only space inside, but it was also nice because you get a peak into the kitchen where they serve the hot delicious plates of pasta.
we tried three dishes— the ragù, which i wholeheartedly recommend since it’s a bolognese classic, and it was hearty and the tagliatelle was sleek.
the lasagne was perfectly rustic with an impressive amount of soft pasta layers, with nice bechamel and ragù. it was not as green as expected but the flavours were on point. really homely!
lastly, my favourite dish that surprised me was the ricotta-stuffed tortellinis with gorgonzola cream and caramellized pears. a perfect balance of spicy cheese, salty creaminess, and ultra-sweet pears. everybody at the table loved it, even my brother who is not usually into blue cheeses. i absolutely adored this dish, it was executed to perfection!
i recommend this restaurant for an authentic and filling lunch or dinner in a cute street...
Read moreVisited Tagliatella under the good reviews for restaurants without break (we landed G.Marconi some late for traditional Italian lunch time), so…the best reviews weren't great enough:-)) Maestro Ciro if not the God himself, then His deputy for Cucina Bolognese! Delicious crescentine, admirable tagliatelle al Ragu Bolognese and lasagna, difference with other places in Bologna like…perfume and еau de toilette spray:-) Deliciously incredible, tender cotoletta Petroniana melting in mouth. We understood why there is cabbage with it - to chew on something ‘al dente’:-)) Wine ‘Moma’ by Umberto Cesare highly recommended. Next time in Bologna we’ll not go anywhere, solo Ciro, solo Tagliatella! We’ll just stupidly go through the menu of Tagliatella one after another:-) The best of Bologna - cento percento (100%) Michelin and Gambero Rosso wandering blindly...
