tl;dr: pretty great food but meh service if you speak German instead of Italian (our experience). They weren’t too happy to split the bill either.
The place: a bit cramped, tables very close together. They also have tables outside but it was a bit rainy so they weren’t occupied. Lively atmosphere with chatty guests inside.
The food: pretty great all around. I had rigatoni with nduja and meatballs. Pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce had a slight spicyness to it which was lovely. Portion was a bit too big though, I would’ve preferred a smaller one so I could enjoy something else as well, like a secondo piatto. I was pretty full after it and barely had room for dessert. Speaking of, we all got the original tartufado, the hazelnut and pistachio versions. It was light and well received after the heavy pasta.

They weren’t too happy when we asked to split the bill either, so we paid in one go. Not awful service by any means, but a bit weird at times. We’re still pretty happy about...

If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in Bolzano, look no further! This gem of a restaurant serves some of the best pasta dishes I've ever had—true Italian classics made to perfection.
The spaghetti carbonara was simply divine: creamy, rich, and loaded with flavor and just the right balance of pecorino and black pepper. The cacio e pepe was equally impressive, with a velvety sauce clinging to the al dente pasta—simple yet absolutely irresistible. And let's not forget the portions—"abbondante" is an understatement!
To top it all off, the crème brûlée was the perfect sweet finale, with a crispy caramelized top that cracked beautifully under the spoon, revealing the smooth, creamy custard beneath.
The warm and welcoming atmosphere, paired with friendly and attentive service, made the entire experience even more special. If you're visiting Bolzano, this place is an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates real Italian cuisine. Highly...
