Experience beyond expectations. I travel a lot for work and have been with my elderly parents many times at Bordighera, but today December lunch here has been by far one of our best memories as a family. Believe the 4 stars only might be biased by the price point a bit beyond average, but the combination of the unique location, great food and service deserve sure more. What I like is the quality, variety, stick to tradition (acciughe abbottonate incredibly tasty and balanced and "must try" the use of artichoke and the mixed Cousine between sea and the Ligurian inland traditions). Also a satisfactory and hearty quantity for every appetite (my parents felt at home, even coming from the 40ies generation). Great service, attentive (also to celiac customers) and always with a smile. Location finally is absolutely unique..broad sea terrace spacing 180 degrees from Ospedaletti gulf to the beautiful Church of Sant' Ampelio, sourthermost diamond of Liguria Ponente. Cara si ma la location e la qualitĂ mi hanno finora spinto a ritornare. NON sarĂ piĂč cosĂŹ da sabato scorso. Ho preso ravioli ai carciofi costo 20 euro ok ma per una volta mi dico si puĂČ fare. Ebbene câerano 7/8 ravioli minuscoli nel piatto , buoni ma PORZIONE RIDICOLA. (Premetto essere magrolina e non mangiona. Preferisco la qualitĂ alla qualitĂ ma câĂš un limite a tutto!) Il mio compagno prende un fritto misto che era aumentato a 28 euro !!!! Ma fin qui nostra scelta. Io critico : Le porzioni minimaliste dei ravioli la mancanza di cortesia e flessibilitĂ del proprietario a cui ho fatto presente la cosa ( porzione ed aumenti) col sorriso e mi risponde : âqueste sono le nostre porzioni.â ReplicĂČ: âessendo cliente ve lo faccio presente prima di scrivere una recensione. â Cara Reserve, avete una location fantastica e continuerete a lavorare con i francesi ma un atteggiamento poco aperto al dialogo non vi rende onore. J'ai des rĂ©serves sur la rĂ©serve. Je suis une habituĂ©e de cette jolie adresse oĂč j'ai l'habitude de me procurer une focaccia maison Ă l'avocat pour 10 euros. My friends and I ordered the same dish (calamari) and we were not able to eat it because it tasted really really bad. We had one bite and realised we canât eat it. The taste of the calamari resembled frozen but we were made sure itâs fresh. However no attempt to understand whatâs wrong with the dish was made by the restaurant.
The restaurant didnât even offer us another dish free of charge - they told us you can have something else but you need to pay for it. Or at least offer a desert. They didnât care that we didnât basically touch our dish.
