Beautiful Location, Disastrous Service

Despite the restaurant’s picturesque setting by the harbor, our dining experience at Windsurf was profoundly disappointing. As a trained hotel manager, chef, and waiter, I found the service standards here to be alarmingly subpar.

Upon arrival, we were seated at a table still cluttered with the previous guests’ dirty dishes. It took 15 minutes for the staff to clear the table, yet it remained unwiped, leaving it visibly unclean. After another 15-minute wait, we had to actively request to place our order. Our waiter, Luca, approached us reluctantly and seemed more engaged in conversations with his colleagues than attending to us. We had to repeat our order three times due to his inattentiveness.

We ordered sparkling mineral water but received still water. Our request for Prosecco with ice was ignored, and it was served without. I received my pizza unsliced and without any cutlery. After waiting 7 minutes and 38 seconds for utensils that never arrived, I had to retrieve them myself, by which time my pizza had gone cold.

While the food itself was very good and the location undeniably charming, the overall experience was marred by disorganization and a lack of professionalism. It’s disheartening to see such potential squandered by...

Edit: Their response to my review says everything about the place. It is false that the place was fully booked and they tried to accommodate me, there were two couples at the entire place when I was seated. The rest of their review is self explanatory.

Cockroaches!

2.5 but not good enough to round up to 3

Food - Tartare was bland, sad, tasteless and disappointing. It was only raw fish, no onion, no spice, no herbs, no onion. The frutti di mare pasta was good, after added olive oil and salt. The tartuffo desert had crystallized water in it which is typical if it is not continuously kept frozen.

Drinks - aperol spritz was wayyyy out of balance with too much aperol. Had to add some sparkling water to be able to drink it.

Service - some were spectacular but there was a woman who was always hectic, rude and overall annoying.

Cockroaches - there were MASSIVE cockroaches running around outside, seriously massive. Women were screaming and there was even a kid crying. I‘m going to assume the cockroaches are from the city but the disregard for them by the waiter and owner was frightening. And that despite guest getting on chairs and even leaving.

This place has potential but needs a...

This place will make you a fat boy and a happy person 😊.

I’ve had my best pizza in Italy in this family owned restaurant. I was greeted by the bothers and given a table under a warm and cozy vent.

The service was fast and outstanding and only matched by the food. We were immediately given bread, snacks and olives. We requested a Primitivo wine and the owner recommended this light but full bottle of wine which was really good (I am sorry, I didn’t take a picture of the bottle).

My buddy goes there all the time and recommend their famous pizza but he told me to get the wheat crust pizza.

I order this pizza with smoked brune cheese with a sliced beef. Man oh man was this pizza good. The smokey flavor cheese pulled all of your taste buds out.

As we were eating, there was a group outside having their Christmas party and from the look of the dishes that past us, I will be coming back on a weekly basis. The bill split between the two of us came up to 18€ per person.

The other owner at the end of the night but us three bottles of liquor to sample. Melon flavor Koluaha flavor (my favorite) Lemonchello

This is definitely a must visit...

I'm disappointed. Unfortunately, I'm very sorry, but the food was simply unappetizing. I was very pleased because I arrived before 7 PM, which is before the restaurant officially opened. When I approached, I asked if they were open. I mentioned that one of the tables was occupied, and online it said they opened at 7. The lady said that I could definitely sit down for pizza, and then a gentleman came out and said I could also have pasta. I was very pleased because I was very hungry, and nothing else around was open. I had read the reviews and comments, and saw some negative feedback, but I decided to give it a try because the menu looked interesting. Traditional pasta, however, neither the tartare nor the traditional pasta from this region were good; they just weren't tasty. It's a shame because the restaurant is in a great location and the staff is very friendly, but the food is simply not up to the mark.
