Nerocarbone — Restaurant in Cagliari

This was our last dinner in Cagliari and really fancied some good meat. We chose this restaurant as it was at a nice spot and had mostly good reviews. Unfortunately it was not good, out of the 900g of meat at least 450g was solid fat and bones, which we flagged when they showed us the meat but were reassured that the fat would dissolve…after we complained about it, the waiter said they would speak to the chef to see what they could do, and following that he offered another piece of meat to us that we understood would be complimentary given we were unhappy with the original. Little did we know that we got charged for the additional meat as well and when we raised this as an issue, the waiter’s response was ‘what do you want me to do, I am not the owner’. He then tried to issue a credit back to the card but he couldn’t do it and offered us dessert, which we didn’t want. Would not recommend, defo the meat is not worth the price. On top we had to ask for everything twice, e.g. water, bill, in the end we had to get up from the table and go inside to pay. Not a good...

Siamo capitati per caso in questo locale di Cagliari e ci siamo fermati a cena. Il cameriere si è mostrato sin da subito molto gentile, ma il servizio in generale lascia un poco a desiderare. Mio marito aveva prenotato un secondo a base di carne di pecora con contorno di patate arrosto, mentre io avevo prenotato la tagliata di manzo con tartufo e fonduta di gorgonzola con contorno di patate arrosto. Al momento di essere serviti io ricevo il piatto giusto col contorno sbagliato (insalata di cetrioli e pomodori anziché le patate arrosto) e mio marito riceve il piatto sbagliato col contorno giusto (anche lui una tagliata anziché carne di pecora). Lo facciamo subito notare al cameriere che porta indietro il piatto di mio marito e dice a me che posso tranquillamente tenere il piatto col contorno sbagliato e che mi avrebbe portato "in aggiunta" le patate arrosto. Alla fine mio marito riceve il suo piatto quando io stavo già finendo il mio e io non ricevo le patate arrosto. Dato che avevo quasi finito dico al cameriere che non ha più senso portare le patate. Lui si scusa e per tutti questi errori dice che possiamo scegliere un dolce e che sarebbe stato offerto dalla casa. Sia io che mio marito scegliamo un dolce e alla fine ne ritroviamo uno dei due sul conto. Una volta chiesta spiegazione ci viene detto che lui aveva inteso un solo dolce viene offerto, non due! Ma come? Avete sbagliato entrambi i piatti, vi siete dimenticati di un contorno e avete servite mio marito quando io avevo quasi finito di mangiare e offrite solo un dolce!? Non si fa così. Mi sembra poco professionale! Devo dire che il cibo è veramente buono e l'atmosfera molto carina, ma il servizio e la coordinazione in cucina vanno...

The best place for a steak in Cagliari, but not only stakes, they have a great menu. Competent waitresses and writers, very kind. The Manu may vary day to day and I suggest to always ask the amazing staff what they recommend on the day. You may also go only for a drink, and I swear they got MEAN cocktails! On top of everything the location is one of the best in Cagliari, right in the center with the amazing bastione San Remì just in front of you. I love this place and I think is a must go if you are in Cagliari! You won’t regret it! Absolutely...
