I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante La Tonnara in Castellammare, Sicily, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The customer service here was outstanding and incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.

The food was so delicious that my girlfriend and I couldn't resist returning for a second visit during our stay. The Busiate Trizzana and Linguini Tonnara pasta dishes were undoubtedly some of the best pasta dishes we've ever had the pleasure of savoring, and they were the main reason for our return visit.

For our appetizer, we opted for the mixed cooked fish, which was a delightful introduction to the meal. However, the true highlight was the Beccafico sardines – their incredible flavor led us to order a second round of this delectable dish.

The oysters, prawns, scampi, and swordfish were a testament to the fresh and flavorful seafood that you'd expect when dining in Sicily, particularly in the picturesque port of Castellammare.

We came here on a recommendation from a local but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, the hostess was rude — even though we had booked a table weeks in advance, we were pointed to a few tables in the back corner. When we asked about a table with a view, we were told those were “reserved before us,” yet we later saw walk-ins being seated at better tables.

Service was very slow. It took a long time to place our order, and after finishing our glasses of wine, no one came to check if we wanted more. The food itself was just okay, but for the price, we were expecting much better — especially compared to the excellent meals we’ve had elsewhere in Sicily.
