We chose to dine at this restaurant because of its proximity to Villa Sonia, and after a long day of driving, it seemed convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location itself was unique—a cave just outside the entrance of Castelmole, a fortress town. It had a local charm to it, which made the experience special. However, it's unfortunate that the food did not live up to our expectations. Very soon, the very friendly and attentive (and perfectly English speaking) staff made us feel very welcome. After an ‘aperitivo’ from the extensive wine list, we decided to have diner here as well. We were surprised about the quality of the food (Tuna and Sicilian Lasange) and (again) good suggestions on the wine choice. It appeared not only being a good ‘wine bar’, but also a very nice restaurant. Although not in the ancient center of the small village, it is only a short walk away. And the (view and) breeze on a hot summer night in August made it great. Highly...
