Church of Saint Nicholas of Bari — Attraction in Castelmola

This is a pretty small cathedral. It's quite packed inside. There are a number of altars, paintings and sculptures. There's different styles in evidence around the church. The church was rebuilt in 1934 on top of the old church.

It's a nice place to stop when visiting the village of Castelmola. Since the village is small it's worth stopping here.

Located in the Piazza Chiesa Madre. There are some pretty views outside the church.

Situata nella caratteristica piazza Duomo, la chiesa di San Nicolò 🕍 gode di una location invidiabile. La facciata principale (un portale ad arco a sesto acuto) sembra ignorare la piazzetta e volgere lo sguardo e tutte le attenzioni verso una delle scenografie più strabilianti, in grado di unire lo sbuffante vulcano Etna 🌋 e la baia di Naxos con le sue acque cristalline 🌊. Difficile distogliere lo sguardo 👀!
