Pescaia Walking Food — Restaurant in Castiglione della Pescaia

Edit: Sorry I've tried with my italian translator, but I couldn' find "Salmone da supermercato economico" anywhere on the menu, so I think this information is still missing ;)

Contrary to the positive ratings, we think it's not a good value for the price, at least not for the sandwiches. We've expected much more for 12 €. The bun was exceptionally dry & hard and the salmon was just some slices of a supermarkt product out of the fridge. We were thinking of fresh grille/smoked pieces or something like that. Salat & sauce on the bun were ok, also the gamberi. However for a mediocre sandwich like this, even half of the price would be more than enough. No recommendation from us for the sandwiches, but maybe the fried dishes...

Pescaia was one of the best lunches we had our whole time in Italy this summer. One of my party flat out declares it the very best (she had the tuna filet sandwich). I had the fried octopus sandwich. Another had the fish and chips sandwich. Tasty chips, good local beers. All with a friendly American Blues and beach-front vibe. The prices are a bit higher, but not unreasonable due to the exceptional quality of ingredients and preparation. Delicious bread also. Just an all around ten out of ten....

The best place to eat gluten free (senza glutine) and celiac-friendly street food!!! The guys behind the counter are so sweet and accommodating and the food is to die for! They even had gluten free beer, all sandwiches/burgers are also offered with homemade gluten free bread and all of their deep fried seafood is gluten free as well. We came to Castiglione della Pescaia, not knowing there was such an outstanding gluten free option for me! It was definitely the highlight of...
