FREQUENZA — Restaurant in Catania

Me and my friends went to this bar for drinks last night. Really cool place. The drinks were really good as well. But what stood out in particular was the service. All of the servers were kind and effective. What I really wanted to point out, is one server in particular. That is Santiago. I was really warm, and on the brinck of tears as the heat felt unescapable. Seeing the terror in my eyes, Santiago borrowed me a handheld fan right away. In doing so, he saved my night - I would no be able to continue having fun with my friends without cooling my self off. He kept an eye on me and my friends the rest of the night, even bringing us an extra chair for our bags. So attentive and caring. Tourist in Catania. We went to this place looking for a quick bite and drink. It's got a great atmosphere and the drinks were delicious. We found the cocktails a little bit more expensive than other places we went to, around €10 (still cheaper than the UK). The service was great too, came out in no time! The only issue we had was we had a celiac with us and this place helpfully had allergens on the menu but when we ordered an item without gluten. We were told that it's cooked with gluten which kind of made the whole thing pointless and as we ordered drinks it was too late to go elsewhere. We ended up getting a salad instead which was lovely but still a disappointment that they go through the effort of clearly listing allergens but can't make those dishes...

The 2 waitresses were nice and that's it. The food was mediocre. We ordered a fish plate and the presentation was poor, the taste matched the look and it even had some fried components that were burnt. The cook put them upside down so we wouldn't see how bad they look. The couple next to us ordered some sort of bruschetta and they also didn't look so happy with their food. The drinks were... Meh! I wouldn't recommend their Limoncello Spritz at all. You should go somewhere else, there are definitely better places in Catania. It is not worth...
