Cala Luna is one of the finest dining experiences I have had and I am very surprised that they do not yet have a Star. From beginning to end, everything was perfect. The atmosphere was very intimate and overlooked the bay, giving us an excellent view of the colors of the sky over the Aeolian islands as the sun set.

For the food, it was fresh, light, and tasty. Usually when I do a tasting menu, at least one dish doesn’t hit like the others. Not so here! From the amazing carrot carpaccio to the excellently executed beef with its parsley sauce and classic demi-glace, everything was delicious. Of particular note was the tarte tartin with saffron gelato which was possibly the best dessert I have ever had, on par with that at 3 star restaurants .

The wine pairing was phenomenal and the sommelier explained each wine clearly and with passion. The choices she made, especially in the dessert wine (whose name escapes me) were smart and, again, delicious.

The staff were attentive and matched the energy of the diners at their tables. I want to thank you all for making the evening special!

I proposed to my now fiancée here. I let the staff know ahead of time that I would be, and they prepared a lovely “congratulations “ plate for our petit-fours. Thank you.

This is our 3rd time staying in Le Calette hotel and always had a great experience. The restaurant has changed chef (Dario Pandolfo) and menu this year and we were really curious of the new experience.

We were celebrating our engagement from that day!

The food was really great, the flavors and presentation by the chef was beautiful and amazing. The team led by the chef is bringing the flavors of Sicily to the table and also gives you little surprises during the dinner.

You are paying fot the complete experience of flavors, presentation, service and atmosphere. Great if you are celebrating something.

Fine dining is not our natural habitat and we were both quite nervous heading into Cala Luna, but decided to treat ourselves as we were in Sicily on our honeymoon. The team quickly put us at ease with their welcoming and warm service, which was attentive without being overbearing, and we were never made to feel out of place.

Both being vegetarian, we wondered whether we would be well catered for, but a vegetarian tasting menu was available and the food was genuinely superb. The portions were generous and we both left feeling full.

The setting overlooking the bay was tranquil and the restaurant itself (inside the hotel, as we visited in May, but in a lovely spot on the terrace) was beautiful.
