Calette Reef Restaurant — Restaurant in Cefalù

Note: This review refers only to the restaurant, not the beach club itself. The beach club is outstanding – the setting, atmosphere and views are absolutely top notch, a full 5/5.

The restaurant, however, did not live up to that same standard. I ordered a Caesar salad for €25. The price itself is reasonable for a place like this, but the quality simply did not match the level of the beach club. It was essentially just lettuce with chicken and a dressing that tasted more like a ready-made yoghurt sauce than a proper Caesar dressing with anchovies and egg yolk. On top of that, the salad wasn’t even tossed – the dressing was just drizzled over. Honestly, I could have made it better at home.

My partner had the lobster sandwiches, which were fine but nothing memorable. On the positive side, the restaurant does offer an excellent selection of wines and champagnes, which wine lovers will surely appreciate.

The view is spectacular, and because of that it wasn’t a big issue that we had to wait a little longer for the bill and eventually paid directly at the counter.

Conclusion: The beach club itself is an incredible experience – but the restaurant falls noticeably short of...

We were not staying at the resort but ate at the restaurant for dinner. The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous and it was a beautiful atmosphere and honestly worth the price just for that itself. However the food/service was quite disappointing. Food wise, we got the sea urchin pasta (which was very good) but the lamb was overcooked. We also got the fresh fish plate that was extremely disappointing. The tuna and salmon tartare was not fresh and looks like a defrosted pre-cut mold. It did not make sense that it was a sharing plate but only came with one oyster. Overall the plate looked a bit sad for 85 euros. We were sitting in the corner so service wise we were forgotten a few times. However, the staff around the resort were extremely helpful and superb. Sono stato al "Calette Reef Restaurant" per un ricevimento nuziale e mi dispiace, ma è stata un'esperienza più che deludente. Inizio dal parcheggio pieno di buche e di sabbia, quindi chi con scarpe aperte o peggio con tacchi ha avuto non poche difficoltà. Entrati dentro, alla ricerca dei servizi, scopriamo che due camere (quindi con solo due bagni) vengono improvvisati come servizi per accogliere circa 200 persone . Iniziamo la cena a base di pesce che nel complesso è stata accettabile ma per niente all'altezza delle aspettative. Per concludere in bellezza un menù a base di carne (per una bambina) richiesto e segnalato già con qualche settimana di anticipo: servono due primi dei quali nessuno del personale di sala ha saputo spiegare gli ingredienti (forse è risotto con zucchine) e che non sono piaciuti... vabbè aspettiamo la carne (forse cotoletta, ma anche qui nessuno sapeva niente)....che non arriva! Chiamo uno dei camerieri che mi risponde dicendo che forse è in cottura....passa ancora tempo ( tanto, troppo....la bambina ha fame)...chiamo un altro cameriere chiedendo se per favore potesse fare qualcosa, ma la sua risposta era vaga, incomprensibile, si allontana. Torna dopo un bel po' con un piatto. La felicità negli occhi di una bambina che aveva fame, finalmente si mangia! E invece no! Era un contorno di patate (abbondante però, 3 porzioni). Faccio presente al cameriere che la bambina non è vegetariana, anzi! La risposta? I secondi di carne sono finiti! Inizio a indispormi, ma mantenendo la calma richiedo, e lui mi risponde che forse è meglio se parlo col metre. Arriva il metre (imbarazzatissimo ma tanto gentile) e mi dice nuovamente che i secondi di carne sono finiti, e che non è possibile neanche avere qualche altra cosa, niente di niente. L'unica cosa all'altezza è la vista sulla...
