Pizzeria al Girotondo — Restaurant in Cefalù

I had a terrible night unfortunately, used to visit this beautiful place a lot. Unfortunately there are new owners. We ordered a white whine and they gave us a cold red whine (shouldn’t have been cold). I asked again for a white whine and they gave us red. I didn’t wanted to bother them anymore so it was okay for me. We ordered some starters and there was simply no love in the dishes it also took a long time to arrive, and the restaurant was very loud with yelling waiters who didn’t serve you as a client. I never made this decision in my life but we decided to a leave and pay. We payed everything except of the cold red whine (again we didn’t order this) . We walked away and within a minute there was a screaming pizza baker standing in front of us. We where ordered to pay the cold red whine. After a heated discussion we decided to pay because we didn’t wanted to make a argument on the street. This is good on many levels. Arrived at 7.30pm (opening time) on a Wednesday evening, and the place was empty. By the time we left an hour or so later, it was nicely busy. The environment is modern, roomy, and comfortable. We started with croquettas ( beautifully cooked but needing a tiny bit more flavour) and bruschettas, which were near perfect. For mains we had a Pizza Diavola and a Pizza Capriciosa, both very good and even better with a little Chilli Oil. Wine was fine but not great. Service friendly, prompt, and good.
