Cetara is a lovely little town. Especially at night - when most tourists left - it comes alive with all the locals. We were here for four nights in summer and never left town for dinner. There are many great options.

One was this place a bit away from the waterfront. It's a smaller place but does have a bunch of outside tables. Our dog was welcome as well.

We ordered a bottle of white wine (Kratos), fried anchovies and pasta w/ tuna and tomatoes. What we can say about this place (and that goes to Cetara in general as well): it's real good, real fresh seafood! Anchovies - a specialty in Cetara - were hot, crispy and fresh. The pasta meal doesn't look different, but had great flavors. Fresh and tasty tuna, juicy and fruity tomatoes and perfectly cooked pasta. The wine was a bit pricey (16 Euro for 0.5 litres), but boy, what a great wine that was. It's name is "Kratos" and is among the best white we've ever had...and trust me, travelling the world we had our fair share of wines. If you like flavorful, fruity (exotic, peachy) white wine, but at the same time not overly sweet, then this is for you!

So far this place deserves five stars. If it wouldn't be for the staff. The host/owner was fine. Friendly guy. But the staff just didn't seem to care about the customers much. No smile or any nice words. I don't need to be cared overly much...but this didn't even reach a basic standard. Too bad. But still a place I would go back. Food is great, prices were...

I tried the Cotoletta Di Tonno with lemon mayonnaise. I was nicely done, but it came with no side nor garnish. It ended up being a boring dish, given the context of the Amalfi Coast, where food is amazing. The spaghetti with colatura di alici were good, but definitely there are better versions of that dish in town. I went there recommended by locals, and I guess I missed with the dishes I ordered. The desserts (most of them AFAIK) are store bought from a local pastry shop, which are excellent quality. I ordered the pistachio tiramisu and it was great. Either way the attention was very good, it’s a friendly place, and a good value...

Hi! We wanted to thank you very much for the wonderful food and for your kindness. We ordered take away on 31 August evening (by the way the only restaurant which agreed to serve take away in Cetara) and we were super satisfied! We wanted to especially mention the guy who took our order (a very friendly and nice smiling person, unfortunately we don’t know his name - a big nice Italian guy please send our best greetings to him 👌) we had a problem with paying with card but the guy patiently waited for us to bring cash and everything was Okay! Once again thank you for wonderful food...

Complimenti.

Pan e Coccos’ is a real hidden gem in Cetara. It’s a bit away from the crowds which makes it even nicer. First we had “Scialatielli ai frutti di mare” pasta and it was SO GOOD, and then the tuna came… and wow, we were done! For dessert we had the rum baba – it was the perfect way to end the meal. Big thanks to chef Gaetano and our lovely waiter Filippo. Can’t wait to come back next summer to try the rest!
