I visited the place with my girlfriend and I like to eat in the area in general. This restaurant in particular had the most horrible food I ever experienced and although the service was friendly, the food was a disgrace to the italian kitchen. The starter: As a starter we took the muschels, which was the biggest mistake. The meet was horrible, the whole meal smelled like old fish (in my opinion even dog, I'm not kidding). It seems the muschels were not fully cooked and were a bit raw. The first course: Pasta for 15 Euros each with small portions. No great taste at all and the presentation was average. For this money you can eat anywhere else in italy and find a way better experience. The second course: Grilled fish plate. Extremely disappoiting. It contained two mazzancolle, twoscampi full of sand, one calamaro and ...salmon? Why is there salmon in a plate for 25€. This restaurant is next to the sea! Give me an orata or sarago, not grilled salmon that mismatched the taste of the while meal completely! Everything was grilled pretty strong and had a burned smell, which i didn't like.
Overall I must say this has been the worst experience in an italian restaurant so far. We are eating in Civitavecchia and Bracciano pretty ofter but this restaurant was a true lowpoint.
By the way: while paying, the owner (i guess) and the kitchen personal didn't bother to wear a mask...Something that triggers me extremely because guests are required to wear them everytime they stand up.
PS: The wine, the bread and the...
Read moreIf there was a way to use negative stars La Lisca 100% deserves it. We ordered before 8pm, received mediocre appetizers, then was forced to wait over 2 hours for our main courses (ordered at the exact same time as the appetizers!!!) to arrive. After waiting for almost 2 hours we kindly waited almost 20 MINUTES to find someone to ask to cancel our order, due to horrible their horrible service. We were told “it’s being prepared right now, no cancel!” however, I don’t consider 17 minutes being “prepared right now”. 17 minutes, just for the first main dish, at least another 5 minutes for the other. We had filled up on appetizers and the little hunger we had left was gone hours ago. I never want to be anywhere in the vicinity of this place ever again and wouldn’t even wish upon my worst enemy to stumble on this place like we did, with high hopes due to false and deceiving reviews. BY THE WAY!!!! Waitstaff does NOTTT notify you that the (stale and few pieces of) bread that is placed on your table prior to sitting down is an extra £4 per person. They never check if you eat it, I assume that when service takes hours they take it that you’d eat it. Food was okay and it was nice to be next to the water but there was minimal light, we didn’t think we’d still be eating past sunset but that was CLEARLY! not the case. MUCH better food down the street and better views of the beach/ocean/sunset, and WAYYYYYY...
Read moreUnfortunately we ended up not dining in due to lack of coordination between staff who seem not to have clue on what items are available to serve. We were looking at their menu on the digital screen they had at the entrance and one of their reps approached us and showed us all the dishes they have available to serve. We were impressed and wanted to give it a try. Later a waiter came to us with the Sunday menu and we told her that there is none of the dishes that we want on the menu she handed to us. She claimed that there Sundays have a different menu!!! Ironically one of the customers ordered one of the dishes of our interest and when we told the waiter about it she justified that that was the last piece!!! How come a last piece and no one ordered this dish but only one customer!!! A seafood restaurant runs out of it signature dishes!!! Other than that the ambiance looks good with a nice view...
